The latest from Integrity360 for you;
The insurance industry is ripe for cyber attacks, with under-resourced teams and growing regulatory pressure being exploited. This is the warning from Integrity360, a CREST-accredited and Gartner-recognised cyber security specialist, which is urging financial and insurance organisations to strengthen their protection.
Attacks on insurers are increasing, with threat actors targeting sensitive data and exploiting gaps in oversight. Integrity360’s IR and CRA Campaign points to a pattern of incidents occurring during quieter operational periods, when response capacity may be reduced.
Available 24/7, Integrity360 provides rapid containment, digital forensics and recovery through its Incident Response (IR) service, delivered via Security Operations Centres across Europe and South Africa. The Cyber Risk Assessment (CRA) offering evaluates cyber maturity, identifies key internal and third-party risks, and builds a tailored roadmap aligned with standards, including DORA and NIS2.
“We’re seeing a clear increase in attacks when organisations are least prepared – whether that’s reduced staffing, delayed patching or blind spots in third-party security,” said Richard Ford, CTO at Integrity360. “Resilience is not just having a plan on paper; it’s knowing your people, processes, and partners can execute it effectively under real-world pressure.”
With regulatory scrutiny high, the combination of sensitive personal and financial information, compliance requirements and interconnected networks means even a short disruption can cause serious operational and reputational damage. Integrity360 stresses the importance of building readiness before an incident and ensuring a coordinated response when one occurs.
To help the sector, Integrity360 has made three resources publicly available for CISOs and compliance leaders:
- An Incident Response explainer video outlining response stages.
- A CRA checklist to help identify potential weaknesses.
- A breach readiness quiz to provide a quick benchmark of preparedness.
