AND-E Set to Expand its Newcastle Claims Centre

AND-E (Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Europe) is gearing up for significant expansion in 2026 at its Newcastle-based Claims Centre of Excellence.  Here are the details FYI;

Following a multi-year transformation that turned its UK Claims function into a modern, data-led operation built around great customer outcomes, AND-E is now expanding capacity and capability within its flagship Newcastle Claims Centre of Excellence as it brings motor fleet claims handling in-house. The move will see the number of claims managed double by the end of 2026, supported by a 30% increase in headcount.

“At AND-E we’re setting the standard for best-in-class claims handling – and we’re looking for people who want to be part of that story,” said Greg Cole, UK Claims Director. “Our colleagues work with the latest technology, including AI, while developing their expertise through our Excellence Framework – a tailored learning and development programme that helps them build the skills, knowledge, and behaviours to thrive in claims and grow rewarding careers.

“Our specialist teams handle all aspects of claims management – from initial loss notifications and vehicle repair assessments to fraud investigation, bodily injury, and liability decisions. From emergency services and charities to hospital trusts and construction fleets, the claims we manage cover a broad spectrum of organisations and vehicles, making these roles both diverse and rewarding.”

The Claims Centre of Excellence sits at the heart of AND-E’s wider Newcastle operation, which is home to more than 400 colleagues working across claims, customer care, and specialist support functions at Quorum Business Park.  The Centre also handles claims for Toyota, Lexus, and Kwik Fit, underlining AND-E’s role as a trusted partner for some of the most recognisable names in the UK mobility sector. As fleet and connected vehicle technology evolve, the Centre plays a leading role in developing new solutions such as connected accident management for Toyota, combining connected vehicle data, AI, and human expertise to ensure customers receive timely, expert support when it matters most.

Over recent years, AND-E has invested heavily in advanced technology to support its people and customers. Working with Mind Foundry, the company developed a bespoke Fraud Detection Model, achieving a 120% uplift in fraud identification and faster, lower-cost handling. Its Liability Prediction Model has streamlined decision-making, while enhanced vehicle valuation tools have reduced total loss settlement times from 28 days to under 9.

AND-E has been part of the North East business community for more than fifteen years, originally as the telematics pioneer insurethebox and now as a core part of the global MS&AD Group. The expansion of the Newcastle Claims Centre of Excellence reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the region and its ambition to make the site a national hub of digital and insurance expertise.
