The latest news from Amiga for you;
Amiga Specialty has secured Lloyd’s capacity to support its Financial Institutions (FI) proposition, enhancing its capability to deliver specialist, underwriting-led solutions to a broad range of financial and professional entities across the UK, Europe, and international markets.
The facility significantly expands Amiga Specialty’s geographic reach and risk appetite, delivering greater flexibility to support clients with international operations and cross-border exposures. This additional capacity enables the FI team to build a geographically diverse portfolio spanning established financial centres and emerging markets, backed by Lloyd’s global licensing infrastructure.
Amiga’s FI proposition offers tailored products for asset managers, investment firms, funds, banks, and fintech companies, grounded in responsive, commercial underwriting and consistent execution. Brokers benefit from swift decisions, clear communication, and a partnership-driven approach focused on sustainable growth.
The business is led by Jamie Ricketts, Managing Director – Financial Institutions, who brings deep sector expertise and a proven track record of developing FI portfolios within the London market. Under his leadership, Amiga Specialty’s FI team continues to build a scalable, diversified book aligned with disciplined risk selection and long-term broker collaboration.
Ricketts commented: “Securing Lloyd’s capacity represents a major milestone for our Financial Institutions proposition. It enhances our ability to underwrite a broad spectrum of financial risks while achieving genuine geographic diversity. This facility combines the strength of Lloyd’s with the agility and expertise of Amiga’s underwriting model.”
Adam Kembrooke, Group Managing Director and Founder of Amiga Specialty, added:
“Our Lloyd’s-backed Financial Institutions facility expands Amiga’s international footprint and strengthens our specialty capabilities across key markets. It reflects our strategy of building around experienced leaders who deliver underwriting excellence, sustainable growth, and meaningful capacity to brokers and clients.”
Amiga Specialty continues to expand its portfolio of specialty lines businesses, combining experienced underwriting teams with technology-enabled workflows to deliver a high-quality, responsive experience for brokers worldwide.
