Finding the right people isn’t easy, then you have to retain staff, inspire future leaders and more. Here’s the word from Hedron Network;
Hedron Network has launched Hedron People, a comprehensive support framework designed to help independent brokers attract new talent, develop existing teams, and retain key staff.
Hedron’s partner brokers consistently rank “finding and keeping good people” as a top barrier to growth. Analysis of around 200 partner firms found that brokers are actively hiring, but only one in five has a long-term plan for recruitment, development, and succession. This comes as nearly two-thirds of brokers report senior vacancies, alongside growing demand for junior talent.
Hedron People is designed to tackle these challenges by giving brokers access to cutting-edge learning and development resources and a suite of staff support initiatives. The programme enables partners to retain, attract, and evolve their workforce for long-term success.
As part of the programme, the Network has:
· Expanded online learning environment Hedron Academy, covering technical content and CPD, time management, effective leadership, and handling difficult customer calls, via live and on-demand sessions.
· Invested in an Aspiring Managers programme, fully subscribed this year and subsidised by Hedron.
· Launched a “Top Gun” programme for high-performing account executives, focused on helping them move from being among the top performers in their firm to among the best in the market.
· Partnered with Wiser Academy to open up apprenticeship and qualification pathways, from entry-level roles through to diploma and leadership programmes.
· Provided access to The Elite Better Way, a dedicated insurance talent partner offering insurance recruitment support, workforce planning, career pathway support, and interview process design.
· Provided access to 24/7 GP and mental health support for staff through an app-based service.
