Fathom and Altitude, AXA Climate’s climate risk platform, announces the expansion of their collaboration to further integrate Fathom’s probabilistic models into Altitude’s decision-support platform for investors and corporates.
This initiative reflects growing demand for scientifically robust flood hazard data that can be translated into clear financial and resilience insights. Altitude is using Fathom’s models to support investors and corporates in assessing exposure and informing capital allocation decisions in response to the rising cost of physical climate risks.
The integration includes data from FathomDEM+, Fathom’s latest terrain model, which uses machine learning to deliver near-LiDAR-quality elevation data globally, improving the accuracy of flood hazard assessment across portfolios and regions.
The Altitude platform leverages physical indicators – such as water depth for various probabilities – to assess flood risk by asset type and provide accurate adaptation recommendations.
