Atrium and Sofix Team Up on BrokerBrief

Some Specialty news for you;

Atrium and Insurtech Sofix today announced the deployment of BrokerBrief at Atrium, a leading specialty insurer at Lloyd’s, bringing AI-powered claim analysis and summaries directly into Atrium’s claims workflow across all classes of business.

Built by Sofix and fully integrated with Atrium’s claims management system, BrokerBrief automatically converts early claim information and supporting documents into a concise summary appended to each claim record. This gives handlers and adjusters a clear, structured view of the claim without working through multiple emails, attachments, and fragmented notes.
BrokerBrief modernises the initial brief typically provided by brokers, combining key claim details, validation checks, and coverage parameters into a single output. The summary is continuously refreshed as new documents are added, ensuring the claim record reflects the latest available information at every stage.

By structuring and updating claim data throughout the lifecycle, BrokerBrief also creates a foundation for predictive analytics and decision-support capabilities, helping teams accelerate early triage and deliver more consistent, data-driven outcomes.

“BrokerBrief turns unstructured claims information into a structured, continuously refreshed view of the claim, helping handlers and adjusters act faster and make better-informed decisions,” said Carla Viana, Chief Data Scientist at Sofix. “Instead of piecing together the position from multiple sources, teams get a clearer starting point straight from the file.”

Andrew Johnson, Delegated Authority Oversight and Ops Support Leader at Atrium, added: “Claims are the moment of truth; they’re the reason our clients buy insurance. Our focus has always been on delivering a fast, seamless claims experience, and this new tool elevates that even further. By driving real efficiencies for our brokers and clients, we’re helping them get back on their feet faster and move forward with confidence.”

The deployment builds on Sofix’s integration with IMR (Insurers’ Market Repository), enabling insurers and managing agents to extract and analyse large claims files and convert unstructured materials – including adjuster reports, broker correspondence, and expert documentation – into actionable insight. This allows claims teams to review complex documents more efficiently, identify trends, and support compliance with Lloyd’s market processes.

The deployment marks a further step in Atrium’s use of technology to enhance claims handling, and in Sofix’s mission to bring AI-powered automation to complex claims workflows across the London market.
