the expansion of its global specialty practice.
Joseph will lead AI12’s Marine Lines proposition across Hull & Machinery, Marine Cargo, Protection & Indemnity (P&I) and associated marine liabilities, including exposures linked to ports and terminals, logistics operators and other marine service providers. His remit will include war risks and hostile perils impacting vessels, cargo and crew, reflecting the heightened relevance of these exposures in today’s operating environment.
MEA PLATFORM

mea Platform (“mea”), the AI-native insurance technology company, has announced the appointment of Mina Sahib as Vice President for the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. Sahib will lead mea’s MENA expansion, working with (re)insurers, carriers, brokers, MGAs, and other partners to bring agentic AI solutions to operations across a market investing heavily in AI and digital transformation.
Sahib brings nearly two decades of experience across the global insurance industry, starting in 2008 in P&C claims with State Farm Insurance in Toronto, Canada. After moving to the Middle East in 2013, she held leadership roles in operations, digital transformation, and customer experience.

LIBERTY SPECIALTY
Liberty Specialty Markets (Liberty), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, today announced four appointments within its Financial and Professional Lines (FinPro) division, strengthening its underwriting capabilities across London and UK Regional markets. The promotions are effective immediately and all will report to Emma Pearce, Head of FinPro.
Directors & Officers Liability:
Lucy Ling – Underwriting Manager, D&O London
Ling, previously senior underwriter, brings three decades of experience to her new role, including 20 years at Liberty. She will now be responsible for the management of the D&O London team and future growth in the business line.
Helen Parsons – Underwriting Manager, D&O UK Regions
Parsons has over twenty years of experience, most recently holding the position of senior regional underwriter at Liberty. Based in Bristol, she will be responsible for broadening Liberty’s D&O and ancillary product offering for our clients across the UK Regions.
Professional Indemnity:
Amanda Burnell – Underwriting Manager, PI London
Burnell, formerly Underwriting Manager, Large Corporate and International, has more than 30-years of underwriting experience. Burnell’s expanded role will bring together all PI business written out of London, for clients based in the UK and Internationally, with key strategic reporting lines below her across Construction, Professional and Financial Services risks.
Sean Gilborson – Underwriting Manager, PI UK Regions
Gilborson, formerly a senior regional underwriter, brings over 25 years of insurance industry experience to this new role. He will be based in Bristol with responsibility for further building our regional PI proposition to meet longer-term goals while supporting LSM’s regional growth aspirations.
Both Amanda and Sean will report into Andrew Townsend, who continues to lead Liberty’s UK, Ireland and MENA PI class, based out of London.
VITESSE

Vitesse, the financial infrastructure connecting the insurance ecosystem, has announced the appointment of Shareen Minor as chief revenue officer, North America.
Shareen brings more than 20 years of experience across carriers, TPA operations and PE-backed insurtechs. The appointment follows a period of significant growth for Vitesse — the company’s global insurance network has grown 42% year over year, connecting nearly 500 network participants to its platform, with payment volumes up 32% in the last financial year.
PIB GROUP

PIB Group Ltd (‘PIB’, the ‘Group’), the specialist insurance intermediary Group, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Rob Houghton as Chief Operations Officer (COO), bolstering operational capabilities across the Group in the UK and Europe.
Houghton, a senior leader with more than 30 years of experience, joins from Aspen Insurance Group, where he held the position of Group COO. In his role at PIB, Houghton will join the Group’s executive leadership team and his remit will span technology and operations, working closely with CEO’s and leaders across the Group to drive growth, streamline, and scale its operations and processes.
CHARLES TAYLOR

Charles Taylor has announced the appointment of Vlad Radu as Head of Romania, reinforcing the Group’s continued investment in the Romanian market and its broader commitment to growth across Eastern Europe.
In this role, Vlad will be responsible for leading Charles Taylor’s loss adjusting operations in Romania, with a focus on enhancing client service and further developing the firm’s local capabilities in line with regional and global priorities.
Vlad brings extensive experience in managing complex and high-value claims across a broad range of sectors, including property and construction (CAR/EAR), liability and cargo. His expertise spans coverage and indemnity analysis, quantum and business interruption assessment, technical reporting, and settlement negotiation. He has led and contributed to several significant assignments across Romania and the wider region, including major construction losses, as well as large-scale industrial and commercial claims. Vlad holds a Claims Settlement Certification from the Institute of Insurance Management in Romania and has completed business and leadership programmes with Junior Achievement.
CHARLES TAYLOR EUROPE
Continental Europe has always been of strategic importance for Charles Taylor and their commitment to the region has never been stronger. As Charles Taylor positions themselves for continued growth, they announce the nomination of Stephen Hope as Director of Technical & Special Risks, Europe.
In this new position, Stephen will support European insurers and reinsurers and he will assist in coordinating and managing major and complex European and international claims. He will notably offer a direct liaison with the London Market, where Charles Taylor operates as well as coordinated and seamless access to Charles Taylor’s global network.
Stephen is a Chartered Loss Adjuster and Chartered Surveyor with over 35 years’ experience in managing complex high value insurance claims, including significant involvement in the mining, energy and natural resources sector.

Zurich Insurance has announced the appointment of Digbijoy Joseph Shukla (Digi) as Head of Digital, Asia Pacific, replacing Roopa Malhotra who has moved to a senior executive role within Zurich’s Japan business.
Digbijoy will play a central role in shaping Zurich’s pan Asia Pacific customer and digital agenda, with overall leadership responsibility for Zurich Edge, the company’s regional digital and embedded insurance business. Based in Singapore, his remit encompasses accelerating digital growth across the region, deepening ecosystem partnerships with platform and technology partners, and advancing how insurance is seamlessly integrated into customer journeys.

In this newly created role, Ms. Griffith will spearhead the firm’s global logistics strategy, integrating insights, analytics, and risk-transfer capabilities into solutions for clients that build resilience and support growth.
Based in New York, Ms. Griffith brings nearly 20 years of experience in insurance brokerage, risk management, coverage law, and logistics operations to the role. She joined the firm in 2021 and currently leads Marsh Risk’s US & Canada Logistics Practice, which she will continue to oversee. Prior to Marsh, she held leadership roles at Kuehne + Nagel, Inc. and Hapag-Lloyd AG, gaining extensive global experience in logistics operations, transportation risk, and strategic transformation.
MAPFRE

Mapfre has appointed Miguel Serrano Loredo as the new corporate director of Administration and Finance, replacing Oscar García-Serrano.
Miguel Serrano previously worked at Fundación Mapfre and has been associated with the Group for more than 10 years, gaining extensive experience in Spain and overseas in various international positions.
He replaces Oscar Garcia-Serrano as corporate director, who had been in this role since April 2022, and who will now take up the position of CEO of Mapfre Colombia, replacing Rafael Prado, who has decided to embark on a new professional challenge.
