The word from SSP for you;
Following a period of significant growth, SSP, the software provider to the global insurance market, has announced plans for an organisational restructure designed to streamline how it serves the insurance market in the UK & Ireland and internationally.
From 1 July 2026, SSP will operate as two separate business entities:
- SSP UK & Ireland, led by Martyn Mathews (MD), will focus on serving brokers, insurers and MGAs across the UK and Ireland, with growth targeted through strategic M&A and expansion into emerging segments such as the MGA market.
- SSP Worldwide, led by Stuart Redfearn (MD), will serve markets across APAC, Africa, North America and the Caribbean, continuing SSP’s focus on product development and expansion in underserved territories.
Martyn Mathews, MD of SSP UK & Ireland, said: “Since being acquired by Volaris in 2021, SSP has undergone significant transformation and achieved strong financial and product development progress. This planned restructure will allow us to operate with greater focus in our respective markets, bringing us closer to customers and enabling us to target growth opportunities more effectively.
“In the UK and Ireland, this includes expanding our support for the MGA market, continuing to strengthen our relationships with brokers and insurers and accelerating innovation through mergers and acquisitions.
“This change will enable SSP to innovate and grow faster, supported by the financial backing of Volaris and the wider Vencora group. It marks an important and exciting new chapter for SSP as we strengthen our capabilities and deepen our partnerships across the insurance market.”
