Thomas Carroll, the independent insurance, risk and insurtech company, is celebrating one year since the opening of its Bristol office at Aztec West, marking a successful first 12 months with the recruitment of five new team members. Since opening its doors, the office has continued to grow steadily, with three new starters joining in the last six months.
Pat Bennett, previously at Marsh, has joined as the new Account Manager.
Shaun Briddon, who has more than 40 years of working in insurance, has been appointed Commercial Account Executive, after a decade at Towergate as a Sales Director.
Barry Davis takes on the role of Corporate Claims Executive, after four years at Howden as a Claims Executive.
Pat Bennett said: “I am excited to join the TC team and bring my knowledge of working in Commercial and Corporate landscape. It is rare to find a workplace where the culture and energy is so refreshing. I am eager to contribute and grow alongside my colleagues in the Bristol branch and am looking forward to the milestones we will achieve together.”
Shaun Briddon added: “Three months into the role, I am thoroughly enjoying the culture and people at Thomas Carroll. With more than 40 years’ experience in the insurance profession, I have developed strong expertise in client relationships and all classes of commercial insurance. I particularly enjoy supporting distressed businesses by reviewing their insurance arrangements and providing practical solutions and options.

I’m looking forward to building strong relationships with clients, increasing face-to-face engagement, and helping to improve the claims experience through more streamlined processes, better reporting, and improved data capture.”
The latest appointments follow the arrival of George Souroullas and Chris Howard, who joined the newly established Bristol team in September last year.
