Superscript, the award-winning digital insurance broker, today announces a first-of-its-kind partnership with smart tool protection platform KYNEKT.
The partnership, which is designed to protect tradespeople and their tools, provides an end-to-end solution to combat tool theft and damage. Trades will be able to digitally log their tools with KYNEKT ID, and use this to provide proof of ownership in the event of a claim — if their tools are insured by Superscript — making claims faster and easier.
Tool theft remains a significant challenge for tradespeople in the UK. Research by Superscript found that one in two tradespeople (53%) estimated it would cost over £2,000 to replace their tools, and one in five (22%) put the cost at over £4,000. Despite this, nearly one in three (31.2%) tradespeople don’t currently have insurance*.
With this new offering, tradespeople across the UK will now be able to benefit from a smart, digital tools protection solution that provides peace of mind and allows them to get back to work quickly if things go wrong.

To be eligible for the solution, trades will need to have an active subscription to KYNEKT and have bought tools insurance with Superscript.
