The hoodie-wearing, dope dealing, angle grinder gangs have become a common sight in lawless British cities, often targeting high value bicycles, e-bikes and motorcycles. But Hiplok have a new product that has been lab-tested to resist the grinder gangs. Hiplok has launched two new additions to the 1000 Series security range: L1000, the world’s first anti-angle grinder link, and DXL1000, the anti-angle grinder D lock with the longest internal locking length on the market.
John Abrahams, Co-Founder of Hiplok, said: “One of the most common requests from riders has been for a longer lock to secure bikes to fixed points and reduce the risk of lift-and-roll theft. We’ve also been asked for a way to extend the reach of our highest-security locks and connect multiple bikes together without compromising protection.
“The DXL1000 and L1000 were developed in response to that feedback, and both new products give riders more ways to secure their bikes.”
The L1000 launches globally in July 2026. The DXL1000, available in black and neon yellow, goes on sale through Hiplok retailers in the UK in July before launching across Europe, North America and other international markets in October 2026.
The 1000 Series range includes disc locks, D locks, anchors and the new L1000 link, making Hiplok the only brand to offer a complete anti-angle grinder security system for motorcycles.
