The latest update from Woodgate and Clark;
Woodgate & Clark, the specialist loss adjusting and claims management business, has launched Woodgate & Clark Surveying Services, led by Mike Dupelycz, a highly experienced chartered surveyor and loss adjuster, as Head of Surveying Services. Clients and their customers will benefit from a fully integrated service where loss adjusters, in-house surveyors and approved contractors from Quadrassist (Woodgate & Clark’s own building contractor network) will work as one, improving communication, reducing delays and delivering greater consistency throughout the claim.
The surveying team initially comprises ten surveying professionals offering national coverage and providing full support on building reinstatement projects as well as supporting field and major loss adjusters with consultative services as and when required.
Mike brings more than four decades in the insurance industry. He helped pioneer the project management approach to subsidence claims, a model that became the industry standard, before going on to lead Major Loss and Surveying Teams across several leading firms and creating the Quadrassist Contractor Network.
Mike said: “Surveying is about applying practical building knowledge to make informed decisions that help claims progress quickly while ensuring repairs are appropriate and represent fair value. By embedding that expertise within Woodgate & Clark, we can work alongside insurance providers from the outset, resolve technical issues earlier and provide insurer clients with confidence that every recommendation is backed by decades of surveying and construction experience.”
Supporting Major Loss and Complex Claims
In addition to supporting building reinstatement projects undertaken by the Quadrassist network, the in-house team will play a central role in assisting Woodgate & Clark’s expanding Major Loss operation, providing specialist validation of schedules of repair including complex, line-item-heavy schedules and expert input on significant building claims. The result is a genuinely integrated major loss and surveying proposition.
Simon Jones, Director of Woodgate & Clark, said: “By bringing surveying expertise into the business, Woodgate & Clark is improving both the speed of response and the quality of outcomes at every stage of the claims journey. Fundamentally this development strengthens our ability to control costs, validate repair schedules and deliver the high-quality outcomes that both insurers and policyholders expect.”
