Another magic Monday in sunny UK, well the southern half anyway, as IE rounds up some of the latest senior level appointments;
HIVE UNDERWRITERS
Independent specialty MGA HIVE Underwriters is pleased to announce it has appointed Polly Mays as Head of Cargo, further strengthening its Marine division as the business continues to expand its underwriting capabilities across global specialty markets. Mays will join HIVE in November once her contractual obligations with her current employer are complete.
Mays will join HIVE with a decade of experience in the cargo insurance market, bringing extensive expertise across cargo, stock throughput, excess stock and project cargo risks. Mays will join from Sompo, where she established a strong reputation as a senior cargo underwriter with a disciplined approach to risk selection and portfolio management.
ARCH INSURANCE

Arch Insurance International (Arch) has announced the appointment of James Barrett as Deputy Active Underwriter for Lloyd’s Syndicate 2012, effective immediately.
In this role, Barrett deputises for James Croome, Active Underwriter, in the leadership of all activities relating to Syndicate 2012, including strategic planning, performance management and leading engagement with Lloyd’s. He also takes on the expanded role of Head of Specialty Casualty, maintaining leadership of the cyber and healthcare portfolios and working closely with Maggie Munns, Head of Executive Assurance (EA) to provide strategic oversight of the EA portfolio. Based in London, he reports to Mike Lay, Chief Underwriting Officer, Long Tail Lines.
Barrett joined Arch in 2018 and brings 20 years of underwriting experience to the role. Most recently serving as Head of Cyber & Healthcare, he is a highly respected underwriting leader within specialty lines.

MARSH

Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting, today announced that Aileen Krehbiel has joined Marsh Risk as Global Strategic Client Service Leader, Captive Solutions.
In this newly created role, Ms. Krehbiel will lead Marsh’s captive strategic deployment across its largest and most complex captive clients globally, working closely with Marsh brokers and advisors to help provide the strategic advice clients are increasingly seeking.
Ms. Krehbiel brings extensive expertise in captive insurance placement and operations to the role. She joins Marsh from John Deere, where she most recently served as Manager, Captive Insurance Programs, with additional responsibility for employee benefits technical accounting. Prior to joining Deere, she worked at Ernst & Young in the Assurance Services practice.
VISIONTRACK

VisionTrack, a leading AI video telematics and connected fleet data specialist, part of Markerstudy Group, has announced the appointment of Richard Lilwall as Chief Executive Officer, replacing former CEO Ben Pickard as he returns to his role as Chief Financial Officer.
Richard brings with him a wealth of experience in the telematics, connected-vehicle, IoT and software sectors having founded his own telematics company before moving into senior corporate leadership with Teletrac Navman, later serving as Chief Executive Officer of Quartix Technologies plc, one of the UK’s leading vehicle-tracking businesses.

Conga, has announced the promotion of Ian Wathen to Chief Financial Officer. The appointment positions Conga to continue execution of its long-term strategy with a finance leader whose tenure demonstrates deep institutional knowledge, established trust across the organisations and a proven track record of leading functions through critical moments in the company’s history.
As CFO, Wathen will have full ownership of Conga’s global finance organisation, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, investor relations and strategic financial operations. Earnix, the leader in Dynamic AI for Intelligent Decisioning in the insurance and banking industries, has announced the appointment of Matthew Twist as Vice President, Sales, EMEA.
Matthew joins Earnix with more than 25 years of experience leading commercial growth across insurance, technology and high-growth software businesses. Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at AI insurtech Concirrus, where he led sales, marketing, customer success and solution consulting.
ANGELICA SOLUTIONS

Angelica Solutions has further strengthened its growing network of senior insurance specialists, expanding the breadth of expertise available to clients through the addition of experienced insurance product and pricing leader, Amy Illingworth.
The move reflects Angelica Solutions’ continued growth and its collaborative model, bringing together highly experienced specialists to support insurers, MGAs and insurtechs with complex projects spanning pricing, underwriting, product development, data analytics and commercial strategy.
Amy brings more than 15 years’ experience working across global insurers, insurtechs and high-growth businesses, combining actuarial expertise with hands-on product development, pricing and commercial leadership. A qualified actuary, she has worked across the full insurance product lifecycle, from financial modelling and pricing through to customer experience, underwriting relationships and product governance.
IGNITE SPECIALTY

EVERSPAN GROUP
Everspan Group (“Everspan”), a specialty property and casualty insurance platform and wholly owned subsidiary of Octave Specialty Group, Inc. (NYSE: OSG), has announced three senior appointments to support the company’s continued growth. David A. Kenyon joined Everspan as Head of Reinsurance on July 31. Bevan Greibesland will join as Chief Underwriting Officer on August 10, followed by Forest Clay Stewart as Chief Operating Officer on August 17. All three will report to Darwin Lucas, President of Everspan Group.
The appointments establish dedicated leadership for Everspan’s underwriting and reinsurance functions, which were previously overseen as a combined role, and strengthen the company’s leadership structure to support its expansion plans.
“As we execute our plans to grow and expand Everspan’s portfolio, we are investing in the leadership and specialized capabilities needed to support that growth,” Lucas said. “Clay, Bevan and David bring deep expertise in their respective areas, and their addition will strengthen our ability to scale the business while maintaining the underwriting discipline, strong partnerships, and operational focus that are central to our strategy.”
Kenyon brings more than 25 years of insurance and reinsurance experience. Most recently, he led reinsurance placement and operations for Zurich North America. He previously held senior positions at Swiss Reinsurance America, GE Global Insurance and Kemper National Insurance Company. Kenyon will be based in Chicago.
Greibesland has more than 20 years of insurance experience spanning program business, delegated authority, and specialty underwriting. She joins Everspan from HDI Global, where she led the company’s U.S. delegated authority and specialty businesses. She previously served as Chief Underwriting Officer of Blitz Insurance and held senior underwriting roles at Global Indemnity and Nationwide. Greibesland will be based in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Stewart brings 20 years of experience in operations, business transformation, and technology across the insurance and financial services industries. He joins Everspan from Chubb, where he served as Vice President, Target Operating Model Leader and Principal Product Owner. He previously held roles at Deloitte and SEI. Stewart will be based in New York and Philadelphia.
TPS
The Telephone Preference Service (TPS), the UK’s official opt-out service for unsolicited live sales and marketing calls, has appointed Scott Logie as Chair of its Board, ushering in a new chapter for the service as it responds to the changing communications landscape and the growing impact of AI.
With advances in AI making it easier for fraudsters and bad actors to generate increasingly convincing automated and cloned-voice calls at scale, the role of trusted services such as the TPS has never been more important. Under Scott’s leadership, the TPS will focus on strengthening consumer awareness, supporting responsible marketing and ensuring the service continues to evolve to meet new challenges.
