WILLIS NETWORKS
Price Forbes today announces that Chris Harris has been appointed as managing director, head of US casualty, effective immediately. In his new role Harris will lead and manage the US casualty team, setting the strategic direction and driving growth.
Harris brings more than three decades of industry experience to the role. He joins from Howden, where he served as divisional director of US casualty, and has previously held senior positions at leading brokerages including Bowring Marsh and BMS. Over the course of his career, he has built extensive experience producing and placing US casualty business across the London, European, and Bermuda markets. In addition to his broking background, Harris has held underwriting roles with several MGAs.
SIMPLYHEALTH

Leading healthcare services and health cash plan provider, Simplyhealth, has appointed Sonya Bryson as Managing Director, subject to regulatory approval. Sonya will join the business on 19 August 2026, bringing more than 25 years of leadership experience across the insurance sector.
Sonya joins The Simplyhealth Group with extensive experience leading large, regulated businesses and delivering transformational change. During her career, she has held multiple Managing Director roles with full profit and loss accountability, successfully driving growth, improving profitability, and leading complex operational and organisational transformation programmes.
EVERYWHEN

Everywhen announces the appointment of Hannah Parry as Principal International Consultant.
Hannah will be responsible for international client management and retention, strategic growth of the international book of business, and managing providers and propositions.

MARSH

Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting, has announced the appointment of Chetna Gulati-Kapoor as Global Chief Claims Officer, Marsh Risk, effective September 1. Based in London, Ms. Gulati-Kapoor will report to John Donnelly, President, Global Placement, Marsh Risk.
In her new role, Ms. Gulati-Kapoor will lead Marsh Risk’s global claims strategy and work closely with colleagues across the business to support clients with complex claims, strengthen advocacy, and help deliver consistent outcomes around the world. She succeeds Rob Powell, who has been named Chairman, Global Claims, Marsh Risk.
LOCKTON

Lockton, the world’s largest privately held, independent insurance brokerage, has appointed Louis Grundy as Vice President of Strategic Sales in Denmark, strengthening its commercial growth capabilities.
Louis’ primary responsibility is leading Lockton in Denmark’s client acquisition and commercial growth strategy, supporting the firm’s efforts to deliver value to both existing and new clients, with a particular focus on helping clients in the Large Corporate segment manage complex risks. His appointment reflects Lockton’s continued investment in experienced, growth-focused talent as the business seeks to strengthen its presence in the Danish market.
Louis brings nearly a decade of experience in the insurance industry to the role. Prior to joining Lockton, he worked at If P&C Insurance as an Account Executive for Industrial Large and Complex Clients across the Nordic region and served as a Property Underwriter for the Nordic region at Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty.
M&G LIFE
M&G Life announces the appointment of Joyeeta Kanungo as Director of Product & Structuring in its Corporate Pension Solutions (CPS) team as it continues to expand its CPS business following the launch of BPA Plus.
In her newly created role, Joyeeta will lead the Products and Structuring team, bringing together product strategy, structuring and investment expertise to develop attractive propositions across M&G’s Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) and Workplace Pensions business that meet the evolving needs of pension schemes and their members.
With 18 years’ experience in the pensions, insurance and retirement markets, Joyeeta joins from Standard Life, where she served as Head of Market Risk and Matching Adjustment, including asset structuring and capital management of its Mortgage Solutions business. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles at Legal & General and Swiss Re, leading complex reinsurance, capital management and risk transfer transactions across the UK retirement market.
BLUEFRIARS GROUP

Bluefriars Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Damian McPhun as Non-Executive Legal Director, further strengthening the firm’s senior advisory capabilities across the insurance and financial services sector.
Damian is Founder and Managing Partner of Edesia Law and brings more than 30 years’ experience advising on insurance, commercial litigation and professional indemnity matters.
Throughout his legal career, Damian has held senior roles at a number of established law firms, including Beale & Company, Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, Halliwells LLP and Taylor Wessing. His experience spans insurance and commercial disputes, professional negligence claims, regulatory matters and coverage issues.
BSPOKE GROUP
Bspoke Group has strengthened its distribution capability with the appointment of Jim Cadle as Head of Distribution and Ryan Biggs as Business Development Manager, to support continued growth across its Commercial and Delegated Authority divisions.
Cadle brings significant market experience to the role, having previously worked for Eaton Gate, Geo Underwriting and Dual. He will lead Bspoke’s distribution activity, with a focus on strengthening broker relationships, developing new opportunities, and supporting growth across the Group.
Biggs joins as Business Development Manager, bringing experience from Geo Underwriting and Glowsure. He will work closely with Cadle and the wider team to grow Bspoke’s broker and partner relationships and increase engagement with its specialist propositions.
Both will report to Nick Grazier, Group Customer Acquisition & Engagement Director.
The appointments come as Bspoke continues to invest in its Commercial and Delegated Authority divisions, including Private Clients, strengthening the team responsible for taking its growing range of specialist underwriting solutions to market.
RIVERSTONE
RiverStone International has announced the appointment of David Soutter as group chief risk officer (CRO), reporting to group chief executive officer, Paul Brockman.
Soutter joined RiverStone International as head of risk in Bermuda in April 2025 and has more than 25 years of experience in the global re/insurance market. His expertise spans enterprise risk management, finance, capital oversight, regulatory engagement and governance across highly regulated insurance e3nvironments.
Prior to joining RiverStone International, Soutter held a number of senior leadership positions with Zurich Insurance Group, including chief financial officer of its Bermuda operations and, most recently, project director, internal reinsurance.
Soutter is deputy chair of the Insurance and Reinsurance Legacy Association (IRLA) Bermuda and serves as treasurer of the Bermuda Foundation for Insurance Studies (BFIS).
ARCH

Arch Insurance International (Arch) has announced the appointment of James Mecham as Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) for Long Tail Lines, effective immediately.
In this new role, Mecham deputises for Mike Lay, CUO of Long Tail Lines, setting the underwriting strategy and leading relationships with key strategic brokers, clients and reinsurers across all long tail product lines for the London Market, UK Regional, Australia and EU business units. He also takes on the expanded role of Head of General Casualty, working with the respective line of business heads to provide strategic oversight across the general liability, energy and marine liability and professional lines portfolios. Based in London, he reports to Lay.
A highly respected underwriting leader, Mecham joined Arch in 2019 as Head of Casualty and brings over 20 years of experience to the role.
ACORD

ACORD, the standards-setting body for the insurance industry, announced today the appointment of John Kellington, a proven and esteemed insurance technology leader, to Chief Executive Officer.
Kellington has dedicated his career to creating a more efficient insurance industry, with a focus on the development, adoption and advancement of data standards. He steps into the CEO role with a rare vantage point, having helped build ACORD Standards, and then spending 16 years as a carrier CIO putting them to use.
Kellington’s appointment marks his return to ACORD. He previously served as ACORD’s Senior Vice President of Standards Development, Information Technology, Corporate Finance & Membership from 2007 to 2010, and more recently as a member of its Board of Directors. During his time at ACORD, he was instrumental in developing the ACORD Reference Architecture, a series of models representing capabilities, processes, information and components for the insurance industry. This framework has dramatically improved the insurance industry’s technical capabilities.
FIDUCIA

Specialty insurance managing general agent (MGA) Fiducia has appointed a new underwriter to strengthen its Combined Liabilities team to meet broker and client demand.
Emma Harvey has been promoted to the position, after joining the Leeds-based MGA in 2024 as assistant underwriter where she has provided support across Fiducia’s specialist insurance products.
With more than 10 years’ experience in insurance, Emma previously held commercial broking roles at Aon and Gauntlet Group.
Following her promotion to underwriter, she is specialising in Combined Liabilities insurance, working with brokers across the UK, Europe and international markets to assess individual risks and provide insurance policies tailored to the individual requirements of their clients. This includes employer’s liability, public liability and products liability for hauliers, couriers and warehousekeepers.
PLATFORM HOUSING GROUP
Platform Housing Group has appointed experienced housing finance leader Amanda Holgate as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Amanda will join Platform on Monday 28 September, bringing extensive executive leadership experience and a strong track record across social housing and other commercial sectors.
She was most recently Chief Financial Officer at Anchor, England’s largest not for profit provider of specialist housing and care for people in later life. During her time there, Amanda also served as Interim Chief Executive, providing leadership to the organisation during a period of significant change.
Before joining Anchor, Amanda was Chief Financial Officer at Southern Housing Group. Her earlier housing career included senior finance roles at Family Mosaic and Peabody.
