Sapiens NV Launches Autonomous Insurance Platform

The latest new thinking from Sapiens for you;

Sapiens International Corporation N.V. (“Sapiens” or “the Company”) has announced the launch of its AI-native Sapiens Autonomous Insurance Platform (SapiensAIP) – a modern, SaaS solution that helps insurers move from AI ambition to production with built in tools to embed AI in their core policy administration system (PAS).

SapiensAIP is a unified platform, built to extend Sapiens’ core insurance products and unlocks a full suite of agentic tools across underwriting, policy, billing, claims, and customer engagement. The platform is built on three layers: a persona-based experience layer, an intelligence layer where agentic flows do the work, and a foundation layer, based on Sapiens’ ontology of more than 40 years of industry experience.

This foundation gives every AI agent the context to reason like an insurer. It also grounds Sapiens’ dedicated data migration and configuration hubs. These hubs take requirements and legacy files and turn them into run-ready scripts and load-ready extracts that are mapped, proven and reversible, taking human effort out while retaining human oversight of any transformation.

“The AI future we have been talking about is here,” said Sapiens Executive Chairman and interim CEO Mike Ettling. “The architecture behind SapiensAIP is the clearest expression yet of what Sapiens has become: the global insurance technology champion built to power the modern autonomous insurer of tomorrow, with a continuously improving layer of intelligence. This is an advantage no legacy architecture retrofitted with AI can match.”

First SapiensAIP customer

Sapiens also announced Continental General (CG), an Austin, Texas-based Third-Party Administrator (TPA) serving multiple clients across life, annuity, and long-term care and stock life, accident and health insurance carrier is evaluating the AI tools as a means to be able to bring on books of business faster and more cost-effectively.

“SapiensAIP represents the kind of platform direction we want from our technology partners – AI that’s embedded in the core system, not bolted on. As a third-party administrator serving multiple carrier clients, Continental General needs tooling that can scale across programs and compress the timeline from contract to production. We’re

putting the Configuration Hub and Migration Hub to work against real workflows, and the early direction is promising,” said Ayanna Burns, Chief Transformation Officer, Continental General.

Speeding up transformation

With legacy core transformation an ongoing challenge for insurers, SapiensAIP Migration Hub now speeds up lengthy transformations, mergers or acquisitions by safely handling four steps with agent swarms: profiling, mapping, validating, and extracting data. Legacy files are ingested exactly as they are, with no reformatting needed. The Migration Hub AI suggests how old data should map to the new system, providing a confidence score that customer subject matter experts review.

With SapiensAIP Configuration Hub, configuration stops being the project bottleneck and is now handled by AI in the background. It takes documents in any format and automatically maps them to the right field in any system. Its confidence mapping score means that teams can review and approve what moves forward. Every decision has an auditable trail.

“SapiensAIP is what turns AI ambition into results insurers can measure,” said Sapiens CEO Designate and Board member, Paul Wheeler. “The work we are doing with Continental General shows exactly this. For insurers, this means faster time to production, lower transformation risk and a return on investment in AI working in their core systems, right now.”
