Some details on the new partnership;
Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT), the world’s largest telematics and AI company for safer mobility, today announced that its DriveWell Tag, an advanced mobility sensor that sticks to a vehicle’s windshield in seconds, will be integrated into Lemonade Insurance’s Car offering.
The DriveWell Tag will provide an avenue for Lemonade to connect with your car to measure and reward safe driving.
“Every driver deserves the chance to be rewarded for driving safely,” said William V. Powers, Co-Founder and CEO of CMT. “Lemonade has built its business around using technology to make insurance work better for people, and to make safe driving pay off. That is exactly the kind of partnership we look for. When millions of drivers are rewarded for safer choices, the impact reaches beyond any one policy — fewer crashes, fewer injuries, and more families making it home. Together, we’re making insurance better and roads safer for everyone.”
“Safe drivers shouldn’t subsidize bad ones. That’s been a core belief at Lemonade from day one,” said Daniel Schreiber, Co-Founder and CEO of Lemonade. “CMT’s DriveWell Tag is sleek, easy to use, and will give us another way to more precisely deliver prices that reflect how customers actually drive.”
Lemonade Car was designed to make car insurance fairer using tech to price policies based on how much and how well customers actually drive. Prices are low, with discounts for bundling, low mileage, EV/hybrid cars, and autonomous driving.
