Toyota Insurance Services Opens New Hub in Shrewsbury UK

The latest news from Toyota Insurance Services;

Toyota Insurance Services, the insurance provider for Toyota and Lexus vehicles, has opened a major new operating hub in Shrewsbury. With a headcount of 50 colleagues and a significant investment in technology, the new Affinity Hub completes a national network of centres supporting Toyota’s range of insurance products and services.  It also provides hot-desking and meeting facilities for Toyota and Lexus colleagues from across the UK.

“Aligned to the ambitions of the Toyota and Lexus brands, Toyota Insurance Services is gearing up to support motor retailers and motorists across the UK,” explained Jason Milton, Chief Executive Officer of Toyota Insurance Services. “With operating hubs already in the North (Newcastle upon Tyne), and South (London & Epsom) of the country, we wanted to find a suitable site in the centre of the UK and identified Shrewsbury as the ideal location.

“We are excited to have already made strong connections with the local community, including building a great partnership with Shrewsbury Town Football Club Foundation.

The new Affinity Hub will provide administration and claims support for a range of insurance products including Total Loss Asset Protection, Minor Damage Protection, Excess Protection and Tyre and Alloy Protection. And it has undergone a major refit to make its technology and facilities fit for purpose for ambitious growth plans.

As part of the refit, the company has upgraded to new laptops for all its employees which meant that older devices were no longer required.  Rather than scrapping the older devices, Toyota Insurance Services chose to give them a second life by donating them to Shrewsbury Town Football Club Foundation which supports people of all ages across Shropshire through education, wellbeing, and community programmes.

Reflecting the partnership between Toyota Insurance Services and Shrewsbury Town Football Club Foundation, Will Boyle, Shrewsbury Town FC player and England cricketer, Saquib Mahmood, were part of the opening ceremony.

“The donation of the laptops reflects the Toyota commitment to sustainability, which is a core priority for our business, guiding the way we operate, innovate, and create long-term value,” added Jason Milton. “As importantly, as a business with a strong local presence, we are committed to actively supporting initiatives that create real opportunities within the community. We are delighted that these devices will enhance the Foundation’s community-focused programmes, particularly the Employability Youth Hub, helping young people across Shropshire access education, training, and employment opportunities.”
