Cathal Carr, Founder, CEO and Group CUO of OAK Global said: “OAK Partnerships is an exciting expansion of OAK Global’s offering to the market. It will bring our technology-enabled underwriting expertise to a new cohort of underwriting partners, offering Lloyd’s capacity for multi-class portfolios of profitable risk. For our capital providers, this will further diversify OAK Global’s offering by adding a lower volatility underwriting strategy and risk profile that is highly complementary to our existing reinsurance and retrocession portfolios.
For distribution partners, OAK Partnerships offers long-term, cornerstone capacity across Property, Specialty, Credit, and Casualty classes of business through a single underwriting relationship.
Partners gain access to Lloyd’s security, licensing and reputation for their clients.
OAK Partnerships will leverage OAK Global’s proprietary technology platform and holistic industry dataset to perform differentiated, market-leading risk analytics. The benefits of this will flow back to partners through the sharing of OAK Partnerships’ portfolio analysis, benchmarking and portfolio insight.
Elisabeth Groehe, CUO, OAK Partnerships and Joint Active Underwriter, Syndicate 1440, said: “With the continued improvements in quality and availability of granular risk data, now is the right time for OAK Partnerships to apply OAK Global’s proven combination of data intelligence and first-rate underwriting talent to the portfolio insurance link in value chain. I am excited to be taking on the opportunity to build out an accretive business unit at OAK Global. I believe we have the platform and expertise to deliver something that will bring real value to our clients, capital providers, and the broader Lloyd’s market.”
