Meiro Announces General Availability of Local AI CDP

The latest update from Meiro for you;

Meiro, the customer data platform built for regulated industries, has announced general availability of Local AI CDP, which keeps the AI model, whether a large language model (LLM) or a smaller specialized model, and the customer data it reasons over, inside infrastructure the organization already controls. The launch answers a question agentic AI keeps raising for banks and insurers: where is customer context processed?

That question has become a bottleneck playing out across financial services, insurance and telecom: marketing and data teams want to deploy next-best-action, personalization and conversational AI against rich customer profiles, including transactions, product holdings, behavioural signals and service history, but security, legal and compliance teams increasingly will not approve sending that data to an external model. Regulators are now naming the same tension explicitly. The UK government’s Financial Services AI Adoption Plan, published by HM Treasury in July 2026, lists AI sovereignty and resilience among the barriers to scaling AI in financial services. Australia’s prudential regulator APRA has warned that “governance, risk management, assurance and operational resilience practices are not keeping pace with the scale, speed and complexity of AI adoption.”

Local AI CDP can be deployed on-premises, in a private cloud, inside a customer’s own AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle account, in a hybrid configuration, or as a Meiro-managed service with regional data residency, with consistent core functionality across deployment modes. Customers can choose, and in most configurations swap, the underlying model without rebuilding their customer-data stack, keeping marketing operations independent of any single external AI vendor.

On that foundation, Local AI CDP powers personalization, audience building, reactivation, next-best-action and analytics, all running on a model that sits inside the same deployment as the data it reads.

The approach differs from policy-based privacy commitments, and from warehouse-native or zero-copy architectures that determine where customer data is
stored but leave the question of where AI inference happens unanswered. Meiro describes this as private by architecture, not private by promise.
Zero egress applies to the AI, not to the network. Local AI CDP still connects to sources and destinations exactly as it would otherwise.

“Your customer data should not become someone else’s AI training set,” said Pavel Bulowski, CEO of Meiro. “It is the hard-won asset that makes your business valuable. AI is only useful when it understands real customer context, but companies should not have to send that context to Big Tech or frontier labs to use it. Meiro brings the model to the data, inside the boundary the business controls.”

Local AI CDP is available now to Meiro customers in banking, insurance, telecom and other regulated sectors across the UK, the Nordics, Australia and the Middle East, with regional deployment support including Saudi Arabia’s in-Kingdom data residency requirements.
