US Market: AHP Working With Gorilla Logic on Student Wellness

The latest partnership news from AHP and Gorilla Logic;

Academic HealthPlans (AHP), part of the Brown & Brown Team, has announced a strategic partnership with Gorilla Logic to advance its technology capabilities and accelerate the use of AI across its student health & wellness business.

AHP has spent nearly three decades supporting colleges and universities in navigating the complexities of student health and wellness. As the company continues to grow, it is investing in the technology, data and engineering foundation needed to serve increasingly complex institutional needs while bringing new capabilities to market faster.

Gorilla Logic will serve as AHP’s strategic engineering partner as part of a multi-year transformation focused on modernizing core platform capabilities, strengthening software delivery and creating a more scalable and measurable approach to product development and customer service.

“AI creates an opportunity to fundamentally improve how we operate and how we serve our clients, but the goal is bigger than simply introducing new technology,” said Terry Lyons, CEO of Academic HealthPlans. “We’re building the foundation that allows AHP to move faster, make better use of our data and continue delivering the level of expertise and service our clients expectations as we grow. Gorilla Logic brings the engineering discipline and AI expertise to help us do that.”

Initial work has included an AI-enabled assessment of AHP’s existing technology and engineering environment, combining AI-assisted analysis with hands-on engineering expertise to identify where modernization can have the greatest impact.

The broader program will introduce governed AI-enabled engineering workflows, shared technical knowledge and greater visibility into software delivery performance. A new engineering metrics framework will give AHP measurable insight into development velocity, reliability and predictability while helping teams continuously improve how technology is delivered.

“AHP has deep expertise in a highly specialized market. Our job is to pair that domain knowledge with an engineering model that can operate at the speed and scale their business requires,” said Drew Naukam, CEO of Gorilla Logic. “AI can increase the speed of software development, but enterprise-grade technology still requires governance, sound engineering practices and experienced judgment. That’s the discipline we’re bringing to this partnership.”

The partnership will also draw on Gorilla Logic Construct™, the company’s engineering system for applying reusable expertise, reference architectures, accelerators and proven delivery practices across engagements.

Together, AHP and Gorilla Logic are establishing a development model designed to make teams more autonomous, delivery more predictable and innovation easier to scale across the organization.

The initiative is expected to support both AHP’s technology platform and its broader ability to use data and AI to generate deeper insights for the colleges and universities it serves.

“Technology is increasingly central to how we help institutions navigate the complexity of student health,” Lyons said. “This partnership is an investment in where that experience goes next.”
