US News: MGT’s Aimee AI Assistant Now Listed in ChatGPT Directories

The latest update from MGT for you;

 MGT, the leading AI-native neo-insurer modernizing commercial P&C insurance, today announced that Aimee, its AI quoting assistant, is now listed in the ChatGPT app directories. Any independent insurance agent appointed with MGT can now install Aimee and quote businesses in plain language, all within AI tools they use every day.

The listings follow MGT’s announcement that it is the first carrier to offer its products to independent agents via agentic quoting in ChatGPT. Aimee has answered agents’ appetite questions on mgtinsurance.com since 2025 and now quotes directly for them on a platform that has handled over $83B of quoted TIV for nearly 15,000 appointed agents.

“We are thrilled to open up our MCP so brokers can quote where they already work. They don’t need another form or another login. They need time back for their clients,” said Graham Topol, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of MGT. “Agents shouldn’t have to come to us. We went to them. Every carrier talks about being easy to do business with; we’re the first one you can quote by typing a sentence into ChatGPT. Because we built MGT AI-native from day one, this took us weeks, not years.”

How it works:

  1. Connect the Plugin. The agent finds MGT Quoting under Plugins in ChatGPT and signs in with their MGT credentials.
  2. Describe the business. In plain language, or by uploading the documents they already have, such as an ACORD application.
  3. Get a quote. Aimee classifies the business, checks MGT’s appetite, asks only for what’s missing, and prices the quote. She tells the agent what she assumed and why.
  4. Review and bind in the portal. Every quote opens in the MGT portal, where the agent reviews it and binds coverage.

Small-business insurance has historically relied on forms, email threads, and re-keyed data, and an agent’s time is its scarcest resource. By letting agents describe a business in plain language, get an upfront answer on appetite, and receive a transparent, reviewable quote, MGT is removing one of the most persistent frictions in the carrier-agent relationship. It also signals where distribution is heading: as agents increasingly work inside AI assistants, carriers that meet them there will be easier to do business with.

“Speed only matters if agents can trust the quote,” said Niall Fitzgerald, Head of Insurance Product & Underwriting at MGT. “Aimee shows her work. She tells the agent what she assumed and why, and when she doesn’t know something, she asks instead of guessing. Every quote is grounded in the same underwriting appetite our team applies every day.”
