National insurance broker, Swinton Group, is launching a new online ‘quote and buy’ system aimed at speeding up business insurance quotes for tradesmen, who are self-employed or run small businesses.
The system which has been developed by Acturis provides an alternative channel for business customers to receive a quote for a tradesman policy at a time that suits them, as well as receiving support from the Swinton business contact centres.
Richard Beaven, distribution director at Swinton Group, said:
“This new service has a real benefit for hard working business customers. The platform supports their needs and has been designed to be simple to use and intuitive in nature. Customers can buy insurance at any time and are able to access their documents through an online account.
“This new system is the sort of positive, purposeful change that makes it easier for our customers to get cover with us, in a way that’s tailored to their needs. If a business owner does need extra support our business contact centre is on-hand to offer any help or advice.”
Tradesman insurance is important for both sole traders and businesses with employees, such as builders, carpenters, plumbers, electricians and gardeners. With public liability as the backbone of the policy, customers can also benefit from additional cover such as employer’s liability, legal protection and business equipment.
