Homelyfe has launched its buildings and contents online offering, adding to its home buying insurance product, which was launched last year. The Homelyfe venture was started by Peter Goodman and Andy Craven and is an app-based product, allowing consumers to manage their home insurance via smartphone or tablet.
Homelyfe say that the current model of asking customers to complete pages of questions online, or answer a series of questions via a call centre is outdated and are looking to modernise and smooth out the entire process.
“In a data rich world we shouldn’t have to rely on the consumer knowing the answers to s many questions.” said Goodman, adding; “If you have to stop a buying process because someone doesn’t have the information then they probably won’t go back to it.”
Homelyfe have built their system from the ground up, avoiding the problems of legacy systems, and say they plan to launch other insurance products in the future.
