The James Hopkins Trust has been Lansdown’s chosen charity for the last twelve months and on 12 September 2018 the broker presented £6,000 to the Trust, taking their total donation up to £14,818. This amount equates to 39 daytime respite sessions for five children.
Since July 2015, the Cheltenham based insurance broker has supported a number of Gloucestershire charities including Insight Gloucestershire, The Butterfly Garden, Cheltenham Community Project (CCP) and Cheltenham Housing Aid Centre.
Darren Bee, Commercial Manager at the Block of Flats Insurance specialists, said: “The James Hopkins Trust is a wonderful charity committed to supporting families across Gloucestershire. We have a strong commitment to charitable giving, it’s part of our culture as a business and we are very proud to be able to support them in this way.”
The James Hopkins Trust provides much needed nursing and respite, as well as practical and emotional help to the whole family, for free, at their purpose built multi-sensory centre in Hucclecote. The children they care for have life threatening or life limiting conditions and many different and complex nursing needs.
