Leeds based broker Romero, is delighted to announce a brand new partnership with corporate health and fitness specialist, Hero Wellbeing. If you haven’t heard of them before, head to their website: https://herowellbeing.com. for further information.
Romero employees can use the Hero app to track their health, set themselves goals and targets, create staff challenges, and access key nutrition and wellbeing advice from a library of blogs and articles. It’s part of a growing trend in the UK workplace, which sees employees sign up to use health/fitness apps, with much of the data available to their employer.
Good news if you spend your free time in the gym, walking the hills and cycle to work. Not so good if you check into the Dog & Duck three nights a week and drive to your desk job, while munching on a Greggs danish pastry.
From an insurance perspective, these new wellness apps are a useful tool in assessing risk across the workforce. The value in detecting early warnings on stroke, heart problems or stress, can’t be calculated in some respects – companies could be looking at saving hundreds of thousands in sick pay, long term treatment or compensation for over-worked and `burnt-out’ employees.
