Lloyds Banking Group is providing a new added-value benefit for home insurance customers by giving them 24/7 Home Emergency Services (HES) through an extended contract with Allianz Partners, one of the world’s leading providers of assistance and insurance solutions.
The new bespoke HES cover provides individuals with peace of mind should the unexpected happen, with emergency support from Allianz Partners UK on hand to deliver expert advice.
The partnership utilises the Allianz Partners’ nationwide network of highly skilled heating engineers and boiler manufacturers’ own engineers, and gives Lloyds Banking Group home insurance customers access to a 24/7 UK based call centre where they are able to talk through the emergency with specially trained staff.
Recognising that immediate care is the biggest priority for customers, the assistance staff can help them fix the problem themselves where possible without having to wait for a tradesperson to attend. If this is not possible then the team will arrange for a qualified tradesperson to attend and resolve their home emergency.
The latest product includes cover for primary heating systems, plumbing & drainage, electricity supply, roofing, security & glazing, pests, gutters & downpipes and uninhabitable accommodation.
Commenting on the new partnership, Stuart Curtis, Head of Partnerships at Lloyds Banking Group says: “Delivering outstanding customer service underpins our vision of being the best bank for customers. This contract with Allianz Partners will give customers 24/7 access to the Allianz Partners network of trained professionals meaning that our customers can be confident in the knowledge that they will receive the help they need when they need it should an issue occur in their home.”
Michael Atkins, Corporate Account Development Manager at Allianz Partners UK, says: “We are delighted to extend our existing relationship with Lloyds Banking Group to offer our bespoke Home Emergency Service cover to Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland home insurance customers. This contract reflects our growing status as a quality HES provider developed over 10 years, and latterly working with one of the UK’s largest utility companies. This contract also increases the Allianz Partners UK share in the HES market and fits with our strategic plan to expand our services within the banking sector.
“Allianz Partners UK already has a wealth of experience in the automotive assistance and travel markets, and this expansion of our HES portfolio complements our ever-expanding client base.”
