FNOL/Salvage: Copart Supersizes its Bristol Facility

Global leader in online vehicle remarketing, Copart UK, has announced major expansion plans for its Bristol Operation Centre as part of its continuing ambitious growth programme. Copart’s investment in the site – which has now grown from 16 acres when it was established 10 years ago to 63 to become a “Super Centre” for the South West – is the latest step in its drive to improve services to insurers and meet growth in customer demand.

As well as expanding the Bristol base, there will be significant improvements to the service infrastructure, including enlarged areas for handling the most badly damaged vehicles, and new valeting and imaging bays to best present vehicles in their online auctions.

As well as creating increase storage capacity, the expansion also includes a conference facility to host customers on-site, and will create new job opportunities. Jane Pocock, Managing Director of Copart UK & Ireland, said the business was determined determination to keep growing and improving their services to insurers was it remains paramount.

“We’re incredibly proud to lead the market as we continue to develop our customer offering, technology, and operational capabilities, alongside our land bank.” she said.

The announcement follows news last month that Copart was creating a new customer service centre in Bedford which will create around 35 new jobs and open for business in the New Year.
