Global IT services and software firm Sequel Business Solutions today announced a partnership with ACORD as its strategic global messaging partner. As a Licensed Integrator Partner of ACORD Solutions Group (ASG), Sequel will be leveraging ASG’s next-generation digital solutions to drive efficiencies for its clients through standardised digital data exchange.
Sequel, founded in 1993, is based in the City of London, the heart of the global insurance industry. Sequel’s Broking, Insurance, Reinsurance and MGA Policy, Claims and Exposure Management systems now support over £12bn of premiums processed annually across more than 20 different countries. To serve its growing global client base, Sequel will be leveraging ADEPT (ACORD Data Exchange Platform & Translator) as a fully integrated service to facilitate global messaging transmission for their Broking, MGA, Insurer, and Reinsurer clients.
“Partnering with ACORD is great news for Sequel and our clients, bringing yet another opportunity to improve access to data and digitally enable their workflows, allowing greater efficiency and improved decision-making, all facilitated through Sequel’s class-leading technology suite,” said Paul Kent, Chief Product Officer of Sequel.
ADEPT offers Sequel’s clients standardised, simplified API connectivity to the global market for the exchange of placing, accounting and claims data, irrespective of the maturity of messaging capability available by each trading partner or platform interface. Through ADEPT’s API interface, Sequel will be able to offer its clients both inbound and outbound message orchestration for all London Market and International Placing, Accounting and Claims message formats.
ADEPT’s integration of the ACORD Transcriber solution will also convert documents into structured placing, accounting and claims data, as well as interface to existing eMessage-enabled partners. ADEPT will also allow Sequel’s clients to receive or share placing data via all of the major Placing Platforms and new initiatives and services introduced by the Future at Lloyd’s program, providing an unrestricted yet standardised approach to their global data exchange.
“We are delighted to be working with such a forward-thinking organization, with a leading position in the insurance solutions space,” said Chris Newman, ACORD’s Managing Director, Global. “We are especially pleased that our embedded enterprise digital intake and data exchange assets will enrich Sequel’s insurance solution offerings for their new and existing clients throughout the global industry.”
