Shepherd (www.shprd.com), who are transforming the way property owners and insurers manage risk and energy consumption using data science, has become a founder member of a new web platform dedicated to sharing knowledge, wisdom and learning among CEOs and entrepreneurs.

One Golden Nugget (www.onegoldennugget.com) allows members to record and post videos that reflect on their experiences in business and life, and the lessons they have learned from them. Other members include the founder of Reebok, Joe Foster and the Chief Executive of the 2021 Rugby League World Cup, Jon Dutton.

One Golden Nugget has been set up by Steve Foster, a former music business producer.  He says he wants to create a network where it’s possible for people to show what he calls authentic leadership.

“One Golden Nugget is there to help businesses show the truth of what they’re really about.  It’s hard for CEOs to be open and transparent, and to show people outside their companies how they think, feel and make decisions.  But I think the ones that do will be well positioned, because consumers are becoming much more discerning about how companies treat people and the planet.”

Shepherd became involved with the project because the company values building trust and connection through open communication.

Shepherd’s CEO, Stephen Chadwick, says “One Golden Nugget is a way of connecting with other businesses and individuals who’ve had their ups and downs, and who’ve found a way to meet all sorts of different challenges.  It facilitates conversations about business that are just a bit more human.”
