Howden, the international insurance broker, has announced today the launch of its new product for classic car collectors, named Rhodium after the most precious metal on earth. The Rhodium Insurance Policy includes excellent benefits for classic car collectors and will be supported by a network of specialist businesses who will be offering a wide range of services exclusive to Howden clients.
Howden has appointed Angus Forsyth and Marcus Atkinson (pictured) as Divisional Directors of the new dedicated classic car team, within the Private Clients division. Both former directors of Hagerty International, they bring extensive knowledge of the classic car insurance community and over 50 years of experience in the insurance sector.
Howden has taken a new office at Bicester Heritage, from which it will run its classic car team. The former RAF base has been converted into a centre of excellence for classic motoring and aviation and is a leading hub for classic collectors and enthusiasts in the UK, making it the perfect place to launch this new offering.
Angus Forsyth, Divisional Director, Private Clients, said: “We are delighted to be joining Howden to launch this new policy for classic car collectors, supported by a specialist distribution network. Our office at Bicester Heritage brings the opportunity alive and means we are in the best place to deliver our expertise and advice to collectors.”
David Howden, CEO of Howden Group Holdings stated: “As a passionate classic car enthusiast myself, and having built up over the last 40 years a collection of classics that reflect my boyhood dreams, I appreciate the importance of having the right protection in place, so I am delighted that we now have our own product to offer classic car collectors. I’m thrilled to welcome Angus and Marcus to the Group. With their unbridled enthusiasm matched by extensive experience and expertise, they will be at the forefront of providing industry-leading service and advice for our clients.”
