Car accident crash flipped upside down, road closed by police

Hills Group continues ambitious growth plans with 10-million-pound investment in their warehousing and infrastructure programme for Green Parts distribution. Hills continue to grow their Green Parts proposition, servicing the collision industry with quality green parts for insurance vehicle repairs.

This latest investment sees Hills Headquarters expand to 26 acres, with warehousing capacity of over 250,000 sq ft, making Hills the largest Green Parts warehousing and distribution centre in the UK. Efficiency and speed of delivery is recognised as a critical component in the supply chain, traditionally salvage companies retain vast amounts of parts on the vehicle, leading to delays through the removal and quality assurance process. Hills are now in a unique position to hold all of their inventoried parts on the shelf and available for next day delivery.

Joe March, Head of Commercial at Hills commented “our goal is to supply a premium product, inspiring customers to choose an environmentally and commercially beneficial option. This exciting chapter of growth within the business has increased our capability to distribute parts faster and more efficiently than ever before, with a target to hold in excess of 1 million quality assured parts on the shelf before the end of 2021”

“There has been a record uptake in the sale of green parts for insurance repairs through the pandemic” explains Ian Hill, MD of Hills Salvage & Recycling. “It came as no surprise, we had already gained significant traction in the market place, this has simply emphasised that our solution can make a significant difference to the supply chain, both commercially and environmentally.

With our recent acquisition of DA Autoparts in Scotland, and new distribution hubs identified in the South of the country, we are on target to complete our strategic plans and provide a parts logistics and delivery service never before seen in the recycling industry”

Hills, through The Green Parts Specialists platform, provide an automated online used parts procurement solution. Unique, it brings together the most recognised recyclers in the industry to offer the largest inventory of used parts in the UK. Users have the benefit of tracking parts orders in real time with automatic delivery updates and an online dashboard to record CO2 savings achieved and savings made.
