More insurers are making key C Suite, geographical and Division level appointments, as they realise the growing importance of having an entire department looking at ESG approved investments, cope with new regulatory actions by the EU and other globalist governments, plus the need to incorporate great swathes of green words and action within all kinds of company reporting and comms. There is also the opportunity to offer insurance cover to the myriad green energy projects which are often being majority funded by taxpayers/governments.

Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) appoints Alejandro Muñiz as new Head of Construction & Green Energy effective from January 1st, 2022
In addition to his current role as Head of Engineering Underwriting Iberia & LatAm, Alejandro will revamp the Global Construction industry practice considering the expected sector’s growth. He will leverage solid local expertise and the lessons learned to create a central structure ensuring coordination and enhanced commercial presence. Alejandro will report to Filippo Cinelli, Head of Client & Broker Relationship Management.
In line with GC&C strategic priorities and due to massive investments derived from Governments’ post-pandemic plans, a special focus on green energy opportunities will represent a differentiating factor. Commenting on the appointment, Manlio Lostuzzi, Generali Global Corporate & Commercial CEO, said:

Graduated in Civil Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Alejandro immediately developed technical excellence skills and client-centric approach in both underwriting and sales spheres.
