Auto Windscreens came to the rescue of Team HARD. Racing on Friday (11th March), when one of its cars suffered a broken windscreen on the track, ahead of the BARC Britcar British Endurance Championship at Silverstone at the weekend.
Jim Allen, Technician at the Oxford Service Centre worked on Daniel Trueman and Jake Owens’ Volkswagen Golf Cup Car, which he described as “not your everyday car and a real privilege to get back on the track ready for race day”.
Claire Murdoch from Team HARD. Racing commented: “A big thanks to Auto Windscreens who really saved the day for us this weekend. We had a very rare situation at Silverstone as a bird hit our race car whilst out on track. We don’t carry spare windscreens but thankfully we could call upon Auto Windscreens to save our weekend and get our car back out on track with a new screen. Thankfully they did as the car claimed some silverware with a top three finish on race day!”
James MacBeth, Auto Windscreens’ Managing Director, commented: “We were pleased to be able to help Team HARD. get its car back on the road in time for a successful weekend of racing.”
Auto Windscreens recently announced its sponsorship of Rick Parfitt Jnr, who is racing under Upton Steel with Team HARD. for his second season in the British Touring Car Championship.
