QuestGates today announces its second acquisition of the year with the completion of its purchase of specialist structural engineering consultancy, Structural Surveys Limited.
Headquartered in Warrington, Structural Surveys provides structural surveys and structural design for residential and commercial buildings from its eight offices across England, Wales and Scotland.
Chris Hall, Managing Director of QuestGates, says: “Having enjoyed a close association with Andrew and his team over recent years, we know their services are second to none. Their attention to detail and focus on speed of service for their customers is how we like to do business and their progressive approach really sets them apart from the rest. Their digital strategy aligns to our own – for example, they use tablet technology to create their survey reports live on site, delivering these reports within 24 hours. They also have a real passion for sustainable and build back better forms of construction, as well as ensuring projects are built to standards commensurate with insurer requirements from a risk management and risk appetite perspective.”
Structural Surveys will continue to operate under its existing brand as a separate company led by its founder and managing director, Andrew Russell, whilst enhancing the range of solutions provided by the existing QuestGates surveying services division.

The acquisition has been completed without the need for external funding.
