Churchill & Zoom EV Team Up on Electric Car Charging Benefits

Zoom EV has partnered with insurance provider, Churchill, to offer electric vehicle customers a suite of benefits and discounts as part of a six-week campaign with price comparison website, MoneySupermarket. The move is aimed at would be electric car drivers who are concerned about the costs and availability of public car charging points.

With the cost of living rising and a continued focus on reducing carbon emissions through the uptake of electric vehicles, this initiative will make the transition to electric simpler for Churchill’s customers by not only saving them money, but also boosting their confidence in investing in more sustainable cars.

The new partnership will allow EV owners purchasing Churchill insurance, via Money Supermarket, to join Zoom EV’s benefits program at no additional cost. These benefits include discounted public charging access, home charger installation, EV home energy benefits, discounted nationwide parking and the ability to generate revenue by sharing their home chargers with others.

Greg Fairbotham, CEO at Zoom EV, said: “Churchill is an industry-leading insurance company and our partnership with them will bolster confidence in EVs among UK drivers supporting a transition to a cleaner, electric future for our roads.

“Churchill is committed to providing reliable insurance to drivers and our dedication to making electric vehicles more accessible makes an effective alignment of business values. Against a backdrop of rising costs to all consumers, we’re proud to be working with Churchill to help customers save money and live more sustainably.”

Sara Newell, car insurance expert at MoneySuperMarket, said: “With the average price of filling a family car with petrol exceeding £100 for the first time and the 2030 ban on new petrol and diesel vehicles on the horizon, it’s no surprise that MoneySuperMarket’s research shows that drivers are willing to pay over £2,000 more for vehicles with a greener emissions rating.”

Sarah Casey, Lead EV Strategist at Churchill, said: “Our new partnership with Zoom EV will help Churchill customers, who choose to invest in an electric vehicle, to gain greater access to EV chargers when out and about or at home.

We hope that by working with companies like Zoom EV and offering sustainable incentives to our customers, we can encourage motorists to feel confident in the move to electric vehicles and, in turn, support a greener future.”
