ROOTS AUTOMATION
Roots Automation, a global intelligent automation company, announced the addition of Ratish Dalvi to its executive team as Head of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
In his new role, Dalvi will lead the data science and machine learning team to further advance the breadth and depth of Roots Automation’s market-leading AI capabilities – specifically around Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing (NLP) – enabling customers to automate a wider range of complex business processes.
Prior to joining Roots Automation, Dalvi was Head of Data Science for Quartet Health, a tech-enabled mental health provider that connects mental healthcare professionals with their patients. Dalvi has worked in data science and machine learning for over a decade, leading teams across this growing space. Dalvi was a data scientist in startups that were later acquired – one such company, Wise.io, was acquired by GE Digital – as well as organizations within the growing fields of telehealth and healthcare technology.
OMAHA NATIONAL
Omaha National Group, Inc. has announced the appointment of Bryan Connolly to Chief Operating Officer. Connolly, who co-founded Omaha National in 2016, previously served as Chief Financial Officer.
“As CFO, Bryan led vital initiatives like the authorization of Omaha National Insurance Company, establishing our reinsurance program, creating robust audit and regulatory compliance systems, and most recently leading the AM Best review that resulted in the rating of A- (excellent). He has been a key member of the leadership team that has charted our path of growing rapidly while generating industry-leading loss ratios,” said Omaha National President and CEO Reagan Pufall. “Having him step into our top operational role will allow us to make full use of his exceptional talent, including leading the expansion of sophisticated data analytics throughout the company.”
Connolly has spent over two decades in the insurance industry. He began his career with Mutual of Omaha and later moved to a Berkshire Hathaway insurer where he spent more than a decade, building data analysis and internal audit programs and ultimately leading their insurance and investment accounting teams. He is a member of the team that founded Omaha National in 2016. Connolly holds a Bachelor’s in Business from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.
UIB
International (re)insurance broker UIB has announced the appointment of Osama Altajer as Aviation Production and Risk Management Executive. Based in UIB’s offices in London, he will report directly to Miles Taffs, Managing Director, Aviation Division. Altajer brings over 20 years of experience negotiating with global brokers & insurers, innovating new facilities, handling claims, underwriting, and transacting aviation (re)insurance. Prior to joining UIB, Osama spent nine years with Abu Dhabi National Insurance Co (ADNIC) as SVP Commercial Underwriting.
He joined ADNIC in 2013 to lead the Aviation Underwriting team. Before ADNIC, Altajer was the Director of Treasury & Insurance at Gulf Air, focusing on managing the various risk exposures the airline faces.

Stenn, the leading digital financing platform for global SMEs, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bilal Bajwa to the new position of Chief Product Officer as the business continues to scale and enhance its unique proposition.
Bilal has a proven track record of leading global teams and scaling data-led platforms, bringing significant experience from a range of senior roles in technology start-ups, particularly in the US and emerging markets, where he has focused on product development and design.
He has previously held roles at Zynga, the Silicon Valley based social gaming platform, and dubizzle, the UAE online marketplace, where he led a team of 120 people in product, engineering, design, growth, and performance marketing. Bilal was also the CEO of OLX Pakistan, an online marketplace which he grew to 10 million monthly average users over just four years.
MARSH MCLENNAN
Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), the world’s leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy, and people, announced the appointment of John Jones as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer and Pat Hagemann as Office of the COO Chief of Staff. Mr. Jones and Ms. Hagemann will report to John Doyle, Group President and Chief Operating Officer of Marsh McLennan. The appointments are effective July 1st 2022.
Mr. Jones will lead Marsh McLennan’s new marketing and communications organization, which will support the Company’s four businesses, Marsh, Guy Carpenter, Mercer and Oliver Wyman, and the Marsh McLennan Advantage group, which drives cross-business initiatives, partnerships and thought leadership.
Mr. Jones joined Marsh McLennan in 2016 and is currently Chief Marketing Officer of Marsh. He has more than 25 years of marketing, communications, and strategy experience, including as SVP of Marketing and Strategy of AIG’s commercial insurance business.
In her new role, Ms. Hagemann will support strategic initiatives and liaise with business and functional leaders across the company to administer a wide range of projects. The Company’s Business Resiliency Management, Global Security and Executive Services teams will report to her. In her 40-year career at Marsh, Ms. Hagemann has held numerous leadership roles, including Global Risk and Compliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the US and Canada. She has been Chief Administrative Officer of Marsh since 2017.
HOWDEN GROUP
Howden Group Holdings, a leading international insurance group, announces plans to establish an end-to-end platform that accelerates the launch and growth of insurance start-ups by bringing together funding, capacity, expertise, governance and distribution in one place.
Tom Hoad will join the Group to lead this initiative. He will bring together expertise and resources from across both Howden and DUAL to create an investment and risk incubation hub that will proliferate new product development in the London market.

ALLIANZ COMMERCIAL
Motor damage expert Nick Rossiter and recoveries specialist Lee Crouch are joining the Allianz Commercial motor claims team as technical managers. These two internal appointments see them reinforce the motor claims team now headed by Nick Kelsall.
Previously motor damage strategy manager, Nick Rossiter brings a wealth of expertise in vehicle technology, repair and supply chain. He was instrumental in rolling out the automated procurement of green parts, as well as encouraging their wider adoption. In his 14 years at Allianz, he has held a variety of positions in underwriting, operations and claims.
CONSILIUM
Consilium, the international (re)insurance broker, part of The Aventum Group, has today announced that James Baird is joining the broker in a senior leadership position.
James joins Consilium from Ardonagh-owned Ed Broking where he was Director of its Strategic Risk Group. He will work alongside Aventum’s leadership team, to manage the strategic direction and growth of Consilium globally.

With his leadership skills and particular expertise in the financial lines broking market, he will play a key strategic role in growing our global broking business with retail broking partners and direct policyholder clients. MNK Re Group, the leading independent broker of worldwide specialist risks into Lloyd’s, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Oluoch as Chief Executive of its new Kenya and East Africa office.
Oluoch is a seasoned and renowned reinsurance and insurance professional with over 30 years of experience in the Kenyan and COMESA markets, having most recently worked as Chief Executive for a prominent East African insurer, ICEA LION General. He will lead MNK Re’s new Kenyan subsidiary, based in Nairobi, bringing with him an in depth understanding of the East African market, as well as a large network of contacts across Africa. A key part of his role will be to expand MNK Re’s presence in Kenya and by extension, the wider East African region, while developing relationships with local providers in those markets.
