MIB Announces Leadership Changes

MIB has announced a series of new senior leadership appointments as part of the organisation’s aim to increase its benefit to the industry and partners.

James Dalton, Kjirste Coltham and Chris Makomereh are set to join MIB by the end of 2022 and will sit on the Executive team, reporting to Chief Executive Dominic Clayden.

James, currently Director of General Insurance Policy at ABI, joins MIB as Chief Services Officer with the aim of creating a stronger alignment between MIB’s services and the needs of the insurance industry. As part of his role James will also oversee the delivery of client companies including Insurance Fraud Bureau and Official Injury Claim.

Kjirste Coltham joins as Chief Information Officer from her role as Director of IT Solution Delivery at Ageas UK. Kjirste will lead MIB through its next phase of crucial technical developments, products and change programmes that will further strengthen the organisation and better serve the industry.

Chris Makomereh joins as Chief Risk Officer from Head of Risk at Pacific Life Re. This new role has been established in recognition of the increasing priority risk management is playing in an ever-changing landscape, and the need to explore MIB’s regulatory environment going forward.

A Chief Claims Officer position has also been created in order to provide dedicated focus on managing and evolving MIB’s largest operation. The role is planned to be recruited in 2023.

The changes follow the departure of Paula Gowland as Change Director in the summer and the recent announcements of the impending departures of two longstanding Executive Team members, Chief Customer Officer Ben Fletcher and Chief Technology Officer Paul Jackman.
