Driven Telematics Inc. (Driven), the company that helps families earn unbeatable auto insurance rates, and Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT), the world’s largest telematics service provider, today announced that they’ve partnered to help families with teen drivers improve driving safety and save on auto insurance. The new free Driven app provides families with insights on their driving behaviors and gives them a driving score they can shop to insurers to keep rates low.
“The vision for Driven is to give families a way to earn unbeatable auto insurance rates based on safe driving,” said Jamey Smith, Founder of Driven. “Driven is focused on empowering families to take their good driving discounts to carriers whenever they please. Our free app is focused on improving driving safety and giving parents tools to help their kids become great drivers. We’re excited to start this journey with CMT powering our driving insights.”
“CMT’s DriveWell platform offers companies many ways to build experiences that engage their customers,” said David Morse, Chief Commercial Officer for CMT. “Driven uses telematics to help families with teen drivers learn more about their driving behaviors, drive safer, and save money on auto insurance.”
When families add a youthful driver to their auto insurance policy their rates can increase, which can be a financial pain point. Driven can help families get deep discounts on youthful drivers based on driving behaviors, making a larger impact on premiums.
The Driven app allows families to share driving trips with one another while improving risk behaviors like acceleration, braking, speeding, cornering, and distracted driving. Drivers can see their overall driving score and how they’ve performed on specific trips. Users will receive tips on how to improve. Driven works with multiple national auto insurers to find the lowest rates for safe drivers.
Driven is available starting today in Texas and will be expanding to other states soon.
