NEXT
NEXT Insurance, a leading digital insurtech transforming small business insurance, today formally announced its strategic hire of Jack Ramsey to lead the company’s agent channel. Ramsey brings over three decades of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on helping agents who serve the small business community. NEXT was built on the premise that technology can provide a more efficient and seamless customer experience to small business owners. Today, the company’s digital first, one-stop-shop platform and online tools provide affordable and simple coverage that can ultimately help insurance agents deliver value to their clients.
Ramsey began his career as a Nationwide agent, where he gained a unique perspective on how insurance companies can best work with agents. Over the years, he rose through the ranks and held several leadership positions, including running sales, marketing and communications at Allstate Business Insurance, in addition to serving as the head of sales for CNA Small Business.
CHUBB
Chubb has appointed Annmarie Camp North America Business Development Leader. Currently, she serves as Head of Personal Risk Services for Chubb in Europe. In her new role, which is part of the company’s North America Field Operations, Camp will be responsible for providing oversight to the business development team that represents and sells the full range of Chubb commercial lines products and services in the region.
Camp will report to Rob Poliseno, Chief Operating Officer, North America Field Operations. She will relocate from London to the metro New York area.
“Over her tenure at Chubb, Annmarie has achieved success leading our growing personal lines business in the U.K. and Europe, as well as managing high-performing sales and distribution teams for businesses and regions in the U.S.,” said Christopher Maleno, Senior Vice President, Chubb Group and Division President, North America Field Operations. “We are fortunate to have an executive of Annmarie’s caliber join our North America Field Operations team.”
BMS
BMS, the independent specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, announces the appointment of Morna Leather as chief financial officer of UK and international for BMS, effective summer 2023. Based in London, Leather will report to Nick Moss, group finance director of BMS.
In her role, Leather will support BMS’ UK CEO, Ian Gormley, and international CEO, Nick Gillett, in their respective roles. With a career spanning more than 25 years, Leather joins BMS from her most recent position as chief financial officer of Ardonagh Global Partners. Prior to this, she held several senior roles at RFIB, including chief financial officer and head of corporate strategy. Leather was also head of finance projects at Aon Benfield and a senior manager at PwC.

QOVER

Insurtech pioneer Qover is pleased to announce the appointment of its first Chief Customer Officer (CCO) Ed Ackerman. The CCO will be responsible for developing and implementing customer-centric strategies that enhance the overall customer experience.
As a growth- and customer-focused expert, Ed Ackerman has been helping businesses scale through strategic partnerships for over 15 years – from start-ups like Onfido to established giants like Google. He started his career as a consultant at Deloitte before joining Google, where he became Head of Channel Partnerships for UK & Ireland. He then worked as the Director of Alliances and Partnerships for Onfido. At Qover, he spearheaded the customer success function before becoming the insurtech’s Chief Customer Officer.
GRI
GRI has confirmed a series of new appointments that will underpin the continued effective governance of the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting standards.
As announced in March, Carol Adams is the new Chair of the Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB), the independent body responsible for setting the GRI Standards. The following individuals have joined the GSSB:
- Jeff Robertson, (Director, Environment & Sustainability, Bimbo Canada) – appointed as Vice Chair
- Chulendra De Silva (Founding Partner and Owner, InterBalance Consulting) – Sri Lanka
- Deborah Ng (Head of ESG and Sustainability, GMO LLC) – USA
- Gayla Tsonkova (Corporate Sustainability Policy and Reporting Manager, Coca-Cola HBC AG) - Bulgaria
The Due Process Oversight Committee (DPOC) – which ensures standard-setting activities are conducted in accordance with the defined due process, increasing stakeholder confidence and in the public interest – sees one reappointment and one new member:
- Caroline Wakesho Sonje (self-employed, currently consulting with the UNEP Finance Initiative) – Kenya
- Jeremy Nicholls (self-employed, currently consulting with UNDP) – UK
INTANGIC

Intangic MGA, a data science-driven, London-based cyber Managing General Agent (MGA), has announced the appointment of Debbie Durkan as Commercial Director to drive growth and distribution.
Since Intangic MGA’s launch in March 2023, Debbie has been developing Intangic’s growth and distribution strategy. Based in London, she has been focused on developing relationships with the MGA’s target client base, large PLCs, brokers, and captive managers.
Debbie has more than 25 years’ experience in the insurance market and has held various senior roles in insurance broking firms. She joins from Marsh, where she served most recently as Chief Client Officer for the UK Commercial group and was previously Global Head of Business Development at Bowring Marsh. Prior to Marsh, Debbie was a Senior Partner with JLT Group. Debbie also held growth leadership roles at Gallagher.
BDEO
Bdeo, a leader in Artificial Intelligence to optimise and automate processes in the Insurance, Fleet and Leasing industries, has appointed Daniele Colaiacomo as its new Vice President of Global Sales.
Colaiacomo has more than 20 years of experience, holding B2B management and regional sales management positions, primarily in the P&C, insurance and automotive industries. He previously worked for insurtech companies such as Tractable, where he was the Regional Director overseeing Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Benelux, as well as Solera, where he was the Managing Director and Board Member. Colaiacomo holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering and has a strong background in finance and sales.
Colaiacomo will be joining Bdeo during a period of fast growth for the Spanish technology company. Bdeo now has customers in 25 countries, and its Visual Intelligence technology already accounts for half of all motor insurance underwriting in Spain. In addition to automating motor vehicle underwriting and claims, the company also recently began offering its solutions to property insurance and fleet management companies.
SEDGWICK
Sedgwick, a leading global provider of technology-enabled risk, benefits and integrated business solutions, has appointed Jonathan Mockridge as head of its UK environmental adjusting practice.
Mockridge joins Sedgwick from a UK specialist loss adjusting and claims handling company and brings over 25 years of insurance industry experience. He has deep expertise in environmental adjusting, having spent 13 years specialising in environmental losses associated with commercial, agricultural and domestic pollution incidents and involving a variety of contaminants.
NTT DATA
NTT DATA UK&I, a trusted global innovator in business consulting and IT services, has today announced that it has appointed two new senior hires to its insurance practice, bolstering its existing offering in General Insurance and expanding its offering to the Life, Pensions and Investment management sub-sector.
The new hires build on NTT DATA’s already strong capabilities in the insurance sector, which is a critical market for organisation’s growth strategy. The new hires follow the announcement of three appointments to the insurance practice in November 2022 which increased the team’s capabilities at a time when the sector is seeing increased transformational requirements.
Ralph Tucker, who joins as a Client Partner, brings over 25 years of deep industry understanding and expertise in the insurance sector. Tucker will be focused on Life Insurance and Pensions and is looking to harness NTT DATA’s significant global capabilities alongside his experience to bring the best and most innovative results to both existing and future customers.
David Basson joins NTT DATA UK&I as Advisor to the UK General Insurance sub-sector. With cross-sector experience and a proven track record of delivering transformational programmes, Basson brings with him best practices and leading techniques to deliver high impact digital transformation projects for our clients.
