Qlaims Limited, the Insurtech MGA that specialises in claims assistance services for clients has announced today that it has signed a multiyear contract with Prestige Underwriting Services to include its Qlaims Insurance cover in the Prestige Underwriting Coverall Household Policy.
Qlaims Insurance provides clients who experience a loss, their own claims specialist (a CILA loss adjuster), to prepare and manage their property claims. The help is most beneficial on larger claims and Prestige Underwriting has selected customer claims above £25k to benefit from the support of this value-added service.
An award-winning MGA operating in UK and Ireland, Prestige Underwriting specialises in providing non-standard Home and Motor Insurance products and its non-standard home insurance product, Coverall, is distributed by a network of over 500 Brokers and has over 30,000 clients. The inclusion of Qlaims in its proposition reinforces its customer approach and with the requirements of Consumer Duty sees Qlaims supporting good outcomes for customers whilst managing insurer claims costs.
Liz Latter, CEO of Qlaims explains, “the goal of Qlaims is to manage claims efficiently and effectively, ensuring the correct outcome for clients. Our modern approach to claims enables us to offer a fast response to customers and to start triage quickly. Larger claims are often complex and involve a lot of people. We restore balance in the claim process and support the client through what can be a difficult and stressful time”.
Alison Williams, Managing Director of Prestige Underwriting Services said, “We are delighted to add further value to our Coverall product by offering an additional layer of specialist support to policyholders when they need it most, at the point of claim. Experiencing a claim event can be overwhelming for many customers and we endeavour to support in every way we can to resolve a claim efficiently and successfully. Working in partnership with the specialist team at Qlaims will reinforce the support and assistance we can offer, adding value for our Brokers and their policyholders.”
Liz added “we think the UK has a gap in its policy wordings and as a business we are keen to see this type of cover offered more broadly to clients. A clear and well-presented claim both speeds the process and supports a fair and correct outcome for customers. With the FCA focus on this area, Qlaims Insurance can help clients at their time of need and enable them to realise the value from their insurance policy. Something I think all of us are keen to achieve.
