Reinsurance Masterclass Coming Up in July

Upcoming event in London, hosted by We Are Guernsey;
The latest developments in the world of reinsurance – and Guernsey’s ability to deliver solutions in a capital constrained world – will be discussed at the Reinsurance Masterclass in London next month. Titled Opportunities for Capital in a Disrupted Reinsurance Market, the event is aimed at reinsurers, capital providers, brokers, consultants and advisors and is hosted by Guernsey Finance as part of its ILS Insight series.
The event will feature two panel discussions, both moderated by John Rowson, Chair of the Guernsey International Insurance Association’s ESG committee. The first, Unpacking Cyber Risk, welcomes Ryan Dodd of Intangic, Robert Dorey of Astaara, Brian Kirwan of Vesttoo and Ian Newman of Gallagher Re. The second panel session is titled Opportunities for Capital in a Disrupted Reinsurance Market and includes Victoria Carter of Guy Carpenter, Kate McInerney of Allen & Overy, Eric Paire of Aon Benfield and Mat Thackery of Kinmont.
“We are looking forward to sharing the latest developments and challenges we are seeing in the world of reinsurance and explain how Guernsey is perfectly placed to deliver solutions,” said William Lewis, Guernsey Finance’s UK Insurance Representative.
“Guernsey is renowned as an innovator and a leader in insurance – we are currently celebrating a quarter of a century since it became the first jurisdiction to enshrine the concept of the protected cell company into law. Since that time, legislation has been replicated in more than 40 other domiciles, including the City of London.
“We look forward to a fascinating event and we hope anyone working in this sector will be able to join us.”
