It’s another partnership deal for Blink Parametric today, who announce they have joined forces with CPP Italy and Europ Assistance Italy – the national market leader and world leading insurance company in the private assistance sector, with the launch of a real-time flight delay insurance service to serve the Italian market.
Headquartered in Milan, Europ Assistance Italy has been operating for over 50 years as part of the Europ Assistance Group – with offices in 34 countries, 35 operations centres and a support network across a further 208 countries. This latest initiative will see the Irish InsurTech’s flagship flight disruption solution made accessible within the Italian market for the first time.
Sid Mouncey, CEO of Blink Parametric recognised the team effort in achieving a successful integration: “This was a great collaboration involving multidisciplinary teams from within Europ Assistance and our sister company CPP Italy. We each share a service commitment to communicate with customers in real-time, offering alerts, status updates, service benefit options and importantly, compensation and we are excited to launch in such a key European market with an acclaimed specialist travel insurance and assistance partner that will maximise our technology to deliver the most for its network and the travelling public.”
To avail of the benefit, any insured traveller simply registers their flight schedule, which is automatically monitored in real-time. When an eligible delay or cancellation occurs on an outward, connecting or return flight, the insurance pay-out or airport lounge pass is issued automatically and seamlessly through the traveller’s smartphone to help lessen the inconvenience of the disruption.
As a company, Europ Assistance Italy strives to make its clients’ lives easier every day by providing assistance during emergency and stressful situations. The flight delay parametric product is a smart and fast solution designed to meet the needs of travellers who want to be protected even from the most common and simple inconveniences, such as flight delays.
