FUSION SPECIALTY
Fusion Specialty Europe (“Fusion”) today announces the launch of its Southern Europe branch in Madrid, and the appointment of Filippo Cibin as partner, effective immediately.
Cibin will lead the expansion of Fusion into Southern European, as part of its continued growth strategy across European insurance markets. Cibin has exceptional experience in the region, having worked in Spain, Italy and Germany, underwriting across a range of M&A and financial lines insurance products for top-tier Managing General Agencies and global company market insurers.
His appointment will further strengthen Fusion’s ability to provide local, cross-continental and innovative insurance solutions primarily for small to mid-market M&A transactions, including its world’s-first M&A Tech solution: Mio™ (M&A Insurance Online for M&A and Real Estate transactions).
TOKIO MARINE
Tokio Marine Kiln today announces the appointment of Rob Partridge to its marine division as cargo underwriter, effective immediately.
Partridge brings more than 11 years of cargo underwriting experience to TMK and, reporting to Richard Hooks, departmental head of marine & energy, he will be responsible for the oversight and growth of TMK’s cargo portfolio in London. Partridge joins from Munich Re where he held several positions, most recently senior cargo underwriter.
His appointment follows that of Timothy Wills as marine underwriter to TMK’s Lloyd’s Asia syndicate in Singapore last year; both signalling TMK’s appetite and ambition to grow its global marine footprint.
Hooks said: “For some time, TMK has intended to broaden its marine proposition and, with the portfolio now at a sufficiently mature stage, Rob’s joining will be enormously helpful in achieving that ambition, bringing extensive experience across the spectrum of cargo risks. Peter Millican, a hugely experienced and highly regarded corporate lawyer has joined HF (formerly Horwich Farrelly), the UK’s leading legal advisers to the insurance and commercial sectors, as Partner and Head of Corporate, based in Manchester and Yorkshire. Peter has over 30 years’ experience and a first-class reputation as a corporate lawyer, having worked in high-profile roles across the UK and overseas; including roles as an in-house legal adviser to an FTSE 100 Bank and founding his own boutique M&A legal advisory practice.
His work has included all sizes of corporate transactions, the largest of which was a £15.4 bn flotation, and a broad range of commercial law including private equity, venture capital, banking, and corporate finance.
MARKERSTUDY
Markerstudy is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Fox as Chief Customer Officer. Reporting to Gary Humphreys, Group Chief Underwriting Officer, the newly created position reinforces Markerstudy’s commitment to the customer and ensuring good customer outcomes are at the heart of all business decisions.
Amanda joined Markerstudy in 2020. In her new role she will oversee three core areas: Customer Outcomes, Product Governance and Broker Management, leading her 30 strong team with responsibility for all customer touch points, alongside ensuring products and services being offered are fair value.

TL DALLAS
Yorkshire based independent insurance broking and risk management specialist, TL Dallas, has appointed a highly experienced corporate account executive following a strong first quarter for its commercial division.
Sara Chapman has worked in the insurance industry for 35 years and has been in broking for the last 26 of those. Based in Leeds for most of her career, Sara has worked for both independent brokers and larger corporates and has many long-standing clients from across multiple industry sectors.
Sara said: “I have worked for many clients in the education sector, as well as charitable organisations over the years, but I don’t specialise in just one sector or solely the Yorkshire region. With previous clients based from Kent to Northumberland and everywhere in between, I plan to grow my account portfolio at TL Dallas across the whole of the UK.
NN GROUP
NN Group announces that Frank Eijsink, currently CEO of NN Belgium, will be appointed as Chief Executive Officer of International Insurance and member of the Management Board of NN Group as of 1 September 2023, subject to approval by the Dutch Central Bank. He succeeds Fabian Rupprecht who steps down as of 30 June to join Swiss insurer, Helvetia Group, as Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, Frank will be responsible for NN’s international insurance businesses in Europe. NN Japan will report to Leon van Riet, CEO Netherlands Life & Pensions and Member of the Management Board of NN Group.
ALLIANZ GLOBAL CORPORATE
Effective immediately, Anthony Vassallo has been appointed Global Head of Natural Resources at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), reporting to Global Head of Specialty, Gordon Browne. struction for Regional Unit London & Nordics.
In this newly established role, Anthony will focus on further evolving AGCS’s Natural Resources proposition to the market, with the aim of driving the energy transition across all segments of the energy industry including renewables, oil and gas, power generation, and mining. In particular, AGCS has a strong ambition to grow its footprint in the renewable energy and green technology segment as well as in the emerging global hydrogen economy.
Anthony Vassallo joined Allianz in 2003 and has held a variety of roles in the specialty lines of the business, across the London Market, Asia and South America in both underwriting and distribution areas. Currently he is Global Energy Product Leader and Regional Head of Energy & Construction, Regional Unit London. He will keep these roles in the interim until a successor is confirmed.
NOVIDEA
Novidea, creator of the cloud-based, data-driven enterprise insurance management platform for brokers, agents, MGAs/MGUs, and wholesalers, announces the appointment of Erez Nissim as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
In his role as CTO, Erez will spearhead Novidea’s research and development (R&D) and product development, leveraging 20 years of senior technology expertise. His appointment comes as Novidea bolsters its senior executive team to drive the next phase of global growth. The company recently announced the successful completion of its recent Series C funding round.
“Erez’s extensive experience in leading complex software development projects for global companies, from inception to market analysis, requiring definition, technical system design, and product development, makes him the perfect fit to lead our technology team and keep us a step ahead of our competitors, worldwide,” said Roi Agababa, CEO of Novidea.
MARSH
Marsh has announced the appointment of Kelly Butler as UK Cyber Leader effective October 2023. Ms. Butler will be based in London and report to Beth Thurston, CEO, UK Financial & Professional Lines (FINPRO).
In this role, Ms. Butler will be responsible for the strategic development and delivery of Marsh UK cyber insurance and placement capabilities. She will also work closely with Marsh McLennan’s cyber risk experts to develop integrated risk and advisory services that support clients in managing rapidly-evolving cyber threats.
Ms. Butler is currently based in Melbourne and is Chief Client Officer & Cyber Practice Leader, Pacific. She joined Marsh in 2016 and has had a variety of senior cyber insurance roles, overseeing the firm’s client advisory and placement services for cyber risk throughout the Pacific region, and serving as a senior cyber advisor for Marsh’s largest clients.
LOCKTON
Lockton has announced the appointment of Clarissa Franks as Head of UK P&C Retail. Clarissa will report into the European CEO, EJ Hentenaar, and work with Tony Hardy, Head of UK P&C, to transfer over the Retail area of his responsibilities, ensuring a seamless succession for clients. Clarissa will play a key role in Lockton UK’S continued growth, reinforcing its solutions led approach for clients, and will be responsible for accelerating the expansion of the UK Retail Division when she takes up her new role in November.
Clarissa’s appointment to lead the growing UK P&C Retail Division reflects Lockton’s continued investment in talented Associates and a commitment to providing the very best client service. Over the past year, the division has seen significant new client wins and growth of 21% on the previous year, reflecting a strong proposition to clients.
Clarissa brings over 15 years of experience to her new role. She joins from Marsh where she held a series of senior leadership roles, most recently as the Retail Placement Leader for Marsh UK and Ireland’s three client-facing divisions – Risk Management, Corporate and Commercial – where she was responsible for placement strategy and execution. She was also a member of the Executive Committee responsible for the leadership of the Risk Management division and has worked on placements for some of Marsh’s largest global clients.
