PERSISTENT SYSTEMS
Persistent Systems (BSE & NSE: PERSISTENT) announces the appointment of Vinit Teredesai as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company, effective immediately, taking over from Sunil Sapre, Executive Director, who will be retiring later this year. Vinit will be responsible for providing financial leadership to Persistent in its continuing growth journey.
Vinit is a seasoned finance professional with over 28 years of experience in finance, accounting, auditing, taxation, fund raising, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. Earlier, he served as the CFO at LTIMindtree Limited, and before that, of Mindtree Limited. Prior, he worked as the CFO and CIO of KPIT Technologies Limited. Vinit is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost and Management Accountant, and a Certified Public Accountant in the United States. He has completed a General Management program from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), focusing on strategy, innovation, and technology.
BEAZLEY

Beazley has announced the appointment of Melissa Carmichael as Head of US Cyber, effective immediately. Based in New York, Ms Carmichael will report to Paul Bantick, Global Head of Cyber Risks. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Ms Carmichael has a proven track record of building and leading high-performance teams. She joins from Aon, where she most recently held the role of Managing Director, Specialty & Middle Market Leader. Prior to this she spent more than 16 years at Marsh where she went on to become Managing Director, NY FINPRO Practice Leader.

CONCIRRUS

INSURANCE INSTITUTE OF GUILDFORD
At just 29, Ashley Martin, a highly ambitious and skilled field adjuster at Woodgate & Clark, one of the U.K’s leading loss adjusters, has been appointed President of The Insurance Institute of Guildford (CII), one of the largest Local Institutes in the U.K. with 4000 members. This makes Ashley one of the youngest presidents of a CII Local Institute in the organisation’s history.
Martin joined Woodgate & Clark in November 2023 to further his loss adjusting career and today focuses on specialist claims, including heritage, complex household, high-net worth and environmental. His rise to President follows 6 years with the Institute, most recently as Treasurer. In 2019, Martin chaired the Guildford CII Young Professionals for under 35s and during Covid oversaw the implementation of a webinar programme including wellbeing initiatives such as virtual yoga and fitness classes.

Hedron has appointed Nick Jones as growth consultant. Jones, who joins Hedron from Focus Oxford Risk Management Ltd, part of Partners&, will report to Duncan Pagan, Consultancy Services Director, with a brief to help Hedron brokers grow.
Nick said: “Broker growth is at the heart of the Hedron proposition, and my role is to support our partner brokers’ growth in their chosen sectors, by getting them fully engaged with our formula for growth. Working alongside them will also enable us to give them access to our
consultancy services.”
Speaking about his career, Nick said: “I have been in broking for 37 years and for 20 of those years leading the strategic growth, operational effectiveness and development of successful teams. In that time I have learned much about planning for success and in taking the necessary
actions around systems, process and people to fulfil those plans. Now I’m looking forward to working with Duncan and our partners to develop their long term success.”

Ken – before joining Apex Group – spent close to 20 years at SS&C GlobeOp. He most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Fund Administration business and was responsible for all functional areas, from investor services, operations, and fund accounting to client relationship management and technology across the global organisation, including the Americas, Europe, and APAC regions.
PHOENIX GROUP
Phoenix Group, the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement business, has hired Cecile Retaureau as its new Head of Private Markets to lead Phoenix’s growing private market team of 16 investment professionals across real estate, infrastructure, public finance, corporate credit and private equity. Cecile will lead on Phoenix’s in-house origination capability and work with best in class asset management partners to deliver private market assets which provide a strong fit for its liabilities whilst also delivering optimal returns.
Cecile has nearly twenty years of experience and joins from UBS where she was Managing Director, Global Head of Cross-asset Financing and Fixed income Solutions Sales, managing over 30 investment banking professionals and 400 clients globally. She has previously held senior global markets roles at BNP Paribas and Credit Agricole.
