HB Underwriting Launches New Employer Protect Product

HB Underwriting have expanded their digital presence with a new health and social care product and an innovative quote and buy portal for those requiring insurance when taking on a personal assistant or carer to help them with their social or healthcare needs.

Employer Protect has been specifically designed for those using their Local Authority Direct Payments or NHS Personal Health Budgets to employ a personal assistant, meaning they legally require Employers’ Liability Insurance due to their status as an employer. This is very much an underserved market in which Employer Protect fills a gap, and thanks to the bluescape platform designed by Total Systems plc, customers can easily get an idea of what their premium would be through a quote preview which changes as unique requirements are entered into the question set.

The new quote and buy portal allows customers to either save their quote or buy it and also to manage their insurance policy at
any time through a simple and easy-to-use online platform.

Employer Protect not only provides the essential cover needed but goes much further. Through online resources and legal advice partners, it gives customers the option to be supported with their legal obligations and responsibilities as an employer, and also includes legal defence should something go wrong.

Kyle Lomas, Managing Director at HB Underwriting says, “We are excited about the launch of Employer Protect. The bluescape platform has again shown its versatility as we seamlessly add a new brand and channel to our business.”

Rhys Collins, Managing Director at Total Systems, commented, “We are delighted that Employer Protect has successfully launched. The innovation demonstrated by HB Underwriting is a perfect fit for our bluescape platform.”
