IE didn’t get around to publishing some feedback from the MGAA Conference last week, but here’s some from INSTANDA, and you can get the full review here by the way.
The Power of Partnerships
This year’s theme, “The Power of Partnerships,” resonated deeply throughout the event. Mike Keating welcomed everyone with a powerful message, “Successful partnerships across our MGA community continue to evolve through the natural energy, innovation, and relentless focus of all partners contributing to the MGA sector.” We couldn’t agree more and saw this theme echoed in every conversation we had at our stand.
Talking about partnerships, it was great to see some familiar faces. Two of our clients, HDI and Rokstone, exhibited as well as Encora, our friends at GreenKite and more.
Panel Discussion on Technology Myths
One of the highlights of the conference was the panel discussion on ‘Technology Reality Vs Myths,’ where our very own Kevin Gaut, CTO of INSTANDA, shared the stage with Kenneth Underhill, Director at ICSR, and Philippe Gouraud, CEO of Rising Edge.
Moderated by Stephanie Denton, Deputy Editor of Insurance Insider, the discussion was enlightening, cutting through the noise to address whether technological advances are truly delivering on their promises. The panel highlighted the undeniable advantages that technology brings to innovative MGAs, emphasising AI and data enrichment as game-changers. However, concerns were noted about data quality and accuracy, stressing the importance of data relevancy, ownership, and digitalisation in building trust.
Kevin’s myth-busting statement, “The myth is that technology is hard to implement but it really doesn’t have to be anymore,” was met with enthusiastic nods from the audience, affirming the positive impact of accessible technology.
