It’s time to round up the latest senior appointments and job moves in the insurance sector. Let’s get busy;
ZURICH SINGAPORE

Zurich Insurance Company (Singapore) Ltd. (“Zurich Singapore”) has appointed Mr. Nixon Ooi as Head of Accident & Health in Singapore. Reporting directly to Alexandra Cowley, Chief Underwriting Officer, Singapore, Nixon will be responsible for leading the underwriting, portfolio management, and proposition development for Accident & Health.
Commenting on the appointment, Alexandra Cowley, Chief Underwriting Officer, Singapore said: “We are delighted to have Nixon join our team as we continue to prioritise growth in Accident & Health across Asia. With his leadership, customer focus and deep understanding of the market, Nixon is very well positioned to enhance our proposition, ensuring that Zurich Singapore’s offerings remain competitive and responsive to customer needs.”
Nixon has over 12 years of experience and joins Zurich from Chubb where he was most recently Head of Accident & Health, responsible for all aspects of the company’s underwriting operations across the CI A&H lines of business. Prior to Chubb, he had also held underwriting roles at Tokio Marine Life and InterGlobal.
SUPERCEDE
Supercede has named Sarah Pearson as its first senior operations manager.
Pearson, who joins from carbon data specialist SparkChange, takes up her new role with immediate effect reporting to Supercede’s co-founder and president Ben Rose.
Pearson’s hire is one of the first results of the USD$15 million Series A funding secured by Supercede in June. According to the business, the capital injection has catalysed the already-impressive growth of its operations – the acquisition of Pearson as senior operations manager further signals this growth and its intent to ‘shake-up the reinsurance industry’.
Ben Rose, president and co-founder of Supercede, said: “Sarah’s appointment marks a significant step forward on our road to expansion.

Stuart brings a passionate yet pragmatic approach to actuarial excellence, going beyond regulatory requirements to deliver an actuarial function that is embedded with both underwriting and claims, and that communicates complex analysis simply to support both Rokstone’s internal decision making and its communication with external partners. As Chief Actuary for Rokstone, Stuart’s role will be to lead and build the MGA’s dedicated inhouse reserving and pricing functions with technical rigour.
Martin Thomas joins from Probitas where he was Head of Underwriting Management. His previous experience includes underwriting management and business transformation roles at StarStone Insurance where he was Deputy Active Underwriter, Willis and Occam Underwriting.
