It’s time for the weekly round up of job moves and senior appointments news, here we go;

WILLIS TOWERS WATSON

WTW (NASDAQ: WTW) has announced the appointment of Parveen Kaur as Global Leader of Operations, Strategy Execution and Data to Neuron, the company’s commercial digital trading solution. This strategic move comes as WTW continues to advance the scope and scale of Neuron’s next-generation capabilities to improve the speed and cost of doing business through digitisation in today’s fragmented market.

In the newly created role, Kaur will focus on creating a strong and agile organisation that continually adapts to meet the needs of the dynamic Commercial Lines insurance market. This will ensure that all operations and strategies align with regulatory standards and best practice. Building robust foundations to enable scalable and sustainable growth, Parveen will focus on innovation, efficiency and a commitment to excellence, ensuring that Neuron delivers truly impactful digital and data solutions to clients across the globe.

Kaur most recently served as Chief Customer Officer for Leeds Building Society. In that role, she was responsible for customer experience across distribution and product. Prior to this, Kaur was Head of Operations at Lloyd’s of London, partnering with the Future at Lloyd’s team to deliver the world’s most advanced digital insurance marketplace.

PRICE FORBES ASIA

Thomas Russell has taken up the newly created role of Director, Head of Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) Wholesale for Price Forbes Asia. He is based in Singapore and reports to Phil Johnson, CEO of Price Forbes Asia Pacific (APAC).

Tom said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Price Forbes Asia. With its strong market presence and agility, I believe the firm is well positioned to capitalise on the expanding opportunities within the APAC region. I’m eager to lead and grow the new ANZ wholesale team as we embark on this exciting journey together.”

Tom joins from Honan Insurance Group where he was the Head of Honan’s Wholesale and Reinsurance division, Green Bird Reinsurance Company. Prior to moving to Singapore in early 2022, he spent nearly five years with Honan in Sydney, Australia, managing complex corporate clients. He was also with Marsh in Australia for five years. He has over 12 years’ experience placing challenged Australian and New Zealand risks, across property, casualty, and financial lines.

INTANGIC

Intangic, a US-based technology risk platform, has announced the appointment of Joshua Cryer as Director of Client Solutions.

Josh brings over a decade of experience to the role. Prior to joining Intangic, he served as Director of Risk and Insurance at THG (formerly The Hut Group) and Virgin Atlantic, where he was responsible for both Enterprise Risk and Insurance. He started his career as an insurance broker servicing and managing large complex clients at Willis Towers Watson and Gallagher.

In his role, Josh is responsible for Intangic’s client solutions, reporting to Ryan Dodd, Founder and Chief Executive Officer. His experience will allow Intangic to continue to develop their proprietary client solutions that bring a totally new approach to helping large complex organisations identify, manage and mitigate technology risk. The Intangic CyFi™ Platform allows clearer visibility and better control of cyber exposure and the subsequent financial impact on the business.

GENERALI GLOBAL

Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) has made two strategic appointments in its leadership team in the Asia region. Effective September 30th, Winnie Chu (BELOW) is being appointed Head of Financial Lines Underwriting Asia, and Joshua Lynch takes on the role of Head of
Business Development Asia.

Commenting on these appointments, Axel Roesner, Head of GC&C Asia stated “We are delighted to welcome Winnie and Joshua to our team as we continue investing into further expanding across Asia. Winnie will lead our profitable growth and technical excellence agenda in Financial Lines with her deep market knowledge in this line, while Joshua will be instrumental in scouting new business opportunities in our highly diverse and competitive regional landscape. These appointments reinforce the strategic focus of GC&C to expand our reach across markets, and to continue growing profitably by serving our clients’ needs with custom-tailored solutions and best risk advisory.”

On his appointment, Joshua, (ABOVE) commented: “I am really excited to be joining GC&C Asia and I look forward to working with the team to grow our market presence and support our clients and business partners in the region.” Joshua joins Generali from Lloyd’s, where he most recently served as Regional Market Development Manager for Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, based in Singapore.

DESCARTES

Descartes announces the appointment of two experienced insurance professionals to explore the potential to extend Descartes’ underwriting approach into new risk classes. Cyril Blin (ABOVE) has been appointed Principal Underwriter, Technical Risks. After seven years in underwriting roles at French commercial insurer Albingia, Cyril spent the past 19 years at AXA France as Technical Risks Expert Underwriter and national referent for machinery breakdown, construction equipment, and affinity insurance. He brings extensive knowledge of a wide spectrum of engineering risks to Descartes.

Benjamin Lambert (ABOVE) has been appointed Senior Credit Underwriting Manager, Credit & Political Risk Insurance (Single Risk). He joins Descartes from Coface, where he spent nearly eight years underwriting large credit risks, ultimately as the specialist carrier’s Deputy Head of Credit and Political Risk Insurance. His knowledge and experience of structured and project finance risks span the globe.

 BROADSTONE

 Broadstone has appointed Ewen Tweedie as an Actuarial Director in its Insurance, Regulatory and Risk Consulting division.

With over 16 years of experience in the life insurance industry, Ewen brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of delivering actuarial services to life insurance firms. Ewen has a broad range of experience advising a variety of clients on projects ranging from pricing, With Profits, valuation reporting, IFRS17 and transformation. He has worked closely on emerging regulations impacting the insurance sector.

He joins Broadstone from PwC and in his new role will manage a portfolio of life insurance clients. Ewen will be based at Broadstone’s newly-opened central Birmingham office where he will play a vital role in the continued development and expansion of Broadstone’s services. Broadstone’s Insurance, Regulatory and Risk division is home to a seasoned team of subject matter experts in insurance consulting across life, non-life and the Lloyds and London markets, as well as providing credit risk services and a range of financial modelling and data analytics services. It has over 30 years of experience supporting a wide range of financial institutions covering a breadth of specialist areas.

LOGPOINT

 Logpoint is announcing the appointment of Søren Grubov as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Engineering as the company seeks to build upon its innovative technology portfolio, anticipate and meet customer needs, and build out its presence in the European market. The appointments reinforce Logpoint’s commitment to becoming a European cybersecurity powerhouse, delivering regional access to high-value cybersecurity outcomes.

ASR

Africa Specialty Risks (ASR), the pan-African and Middle East focused (re)insurance group, announces the appointment of Aurélien Sauty to lead its new Marine and Aviation capacity, as Head of Marine and Aviation.

Aurélien, based in ASR’s Dubai office, brings over 16 years’ experience in the insurance industry, with a robust background in both the marine and aviation sectors. His career started at AXA, spending time in France, Dubai and London as an Underwriter. Most recently, Aurélien worked at Berkshire Hathway Specialist Insurance where he held the role of Assistant Vice President, Middle East, Marine.

This strategic expansion, and Aurélien’s appointment, further enhances ASR’s commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality underwriting solutions tailored specifically to the unique risks across Africa and the Middle East. The new Marine and Aviation lines will focus on providing specialist insurance solutions that address the specific risks associated with such activities.

ALLIANZ PARTNERS 

Allianz Partners UK, the UK’s leading travel insurance provider, has appointed Joe Hatton as Travel Business Development Director. Joe has joined Allianz Partners from AXA Partners, where he was Sales Director. He brings over a decade of experience in travel insurance to Allianz Partners, together with a track record of successfully growing travel insurance portfolios.

In his new role, Joe’s focus will be on driving sustainable growth in the UK travel insurance market through identifying emerging opportunities and optimising existing product offerings to meet changing customer needs. This appointment is the most recent in a series of experienced hires that Allianz Partners has made across the business, a reflection of the firm’s aggressive growth plans in 2025 and beyond.

PRICE FORBES

Price Forbes Re is pleased to announce the appointment of Oliver Waterhouse as the Head of Property Facultative (Fac). Oliver is based in Price Forbes Re’s London offices and reports directly to Head of Facultative Nikki Melbourne. In his new role, Oliver will spearhead the Property Fac division, a core area of growth for Price Forbes Re.

He brings 14 years of extensive experience in the global property market. He most recently managed Facultative operations as an Executive Director at Howden Tiger and previously worked at WTW as an executive director for International Property and International Fac, and at Marsh within the Risk Management Practice.

Nikki Melbourne, Head of Facultative, commented: “Property Fac is a focal area for us and Oliver’s appointment at Price Forbes Re is a key part of the delivery of our dynamic, client-centered offering matching opportunity with innovative reinsurance solutions.
