Some news from Woodgate & Clark and Van Ameyde for you;
Woodgate & Clark and Van Ameyde UK have confirmed plans to become one integrated business under the Woodgate & Clark brand, in a strategic move to become a leading provider of claims solutions for the whole of the general insurance market. Both businesses are subsidiaries of the Van Ameyde Group and well-established names in loss adjusting and claims management.
Foreign and pan-European automotive claims handling will remain under the Van Ameyde brand.
Kicking off 2025, the integration programme sees Egon Scheers, Managing Director of Van Ameyde UK, joining the Woodgate & Clark board, and then all employees of Van Ameyde UK will prepare to transfer over to Woodgate & Clark where they will drive an enhanced range of products and services under the Woodgate & Clark brand. The integration process is due to complete by early March 2025.
The aim of the integration is to capitalise on the complementary strengths of both businesses, streamline operations, and support future growth by creating a comprehensive service offering across commercial property, liability, household, and automotive claims. As one unified organisation the intention is that Woodgate & Clark will lead the way in claims management and loss adjusting across local and international markets with a particular focus on growing Third-Party Administrator (TPA) claim-handling capabilities.
Van Ameyde UK has earned a strong reputation for its expertise in foreign automotive claims, offering specialised desktop claim handling services trusted by UK insurers. It also manages a smaller UK domestic automotive claims portfolio. Meanwhile, Woodgate & Clark is a leader in the UK loss adjusting and property and liability claims markets, serving well-known UK insurer brands in both commercial and domestic classes.
The integration combines these strengths, with Van Ameyde UK benefitting from Woodgate & Clark’s extensive resources, infrastructure, and brand recognition, enabling it to expand its reach, particularly in the domestic automotive claims market. In return, Woodgate & Clark will gain access to Van Ameyde UK’s specialised automotive claims expertise, enhancing its service portfolio.
James Eveling, Managing Director of Woodgate & Clark says: “The integration of our businesses makes absolute sense for our insurance clients, our business growth and for the development opportunities it will offer our people. We are entering an exciting new chapter in our history as we evolve to meet the changing needs of the insurance market.”
Egon Scheers, Managing Director of Van Ameyde UK says: “By combining our skills, aligning our goals, and leveraging our shared expertise, we are unlocking a stronger, more dynamic future for our employees, clients, and the industry as a whole.”
