Shows, Conferences & Events 2025: Let’s Get Booked & Motivated

January is a great time to look ahead at some of the key events coming up in the insurtech and insurance industry, across the UK. Well, mainly London, but you know how it is.

Here are IE’s top picks, so get your accom booked, laptop and phone charged and your work suit cleaned and pressed. Let’s go to work.

ABI CONFERENCE FEB 2025

When: Thursday 27 February 2025

Where: The QEII Centre, Broad Sanctuary, London, SW1P 3EE

Timings: 09:00 – 17:00

For a mere £605 per ticket for non-members this is a great way to get a glimpse of who’s who in UK insurance and maybe do some useful networking. Speakers include various C Suite people and Founders, plus a smattering of bankers, politicians and accounting personalities too.

INSURTECH INSIGHTS 02 INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL, LONDON MARCH 19-20, 2025

This is a big one, with over 6000 visitors each year to London and 400 speakers. Plenty of CEOs and Founders in there too. Media sponsors include the BBC and The Guardian, not just the insurance industry big players, which gives you a clue as to the number of politicos, activists and NGO people who like to take an interest in this event as well.

A must attend event if you are working in Net Zero/Climate regulation, compliance, offsetting and recycling, in any part of the insurance chain we say.

That said, there is plenty to interest start-ups, growing companies and more in every specialised field you can imagine. The key takeaways are how tech can enable change, in any part of the insurance chain, so our advice is plan your day carefully to take in say two speakers and another 3 or 4 crucial meetings, otherwise the sheer avalanche of info will overload you.

The Hiscox session on AI underwriting and the talk by Sten Saar from Zego on the future of motor – let’s say mobility – insurance, both look must-attend presentations for us.

INSURANCE TECH INNOVATION – LONDON 24/25 APRIL 2025

Speakers from leading UK insurance brands like Arch, Marsh, Gallagher, Markel etc, plus a session on AI integration in claims looks essential for us – lessons learned and data patterns acquired in claims can really benefit brands on FNOL, pricing for quotes, renewals etc.

If you are a student you can attend for £149, which is a brilliant way to learn more. Industry people pay £449 each.

BIBA BROKER CONFERENCE – MAY 14/15 2025

The annual get together for brokers and their partners is always a big event, with a big social scene the night before the opening day and at the close of the first day. Tech suppliers, legal, breakdown, claims processing etc are all advised to pay a visit to Manchester and make the right connections at this event. Tickets include a decent buffet lunch too by the way, plus there are lots of breakout sessions in specialist fields.

Check the agenda and speakers list here.

TINTECH LONDON

Location: 155 Bishopsgate, London, which is handy for Liverpool St Station by the way. We hear good things about this insurtech event, which is a great convergence of ideas and motivated people. Tickets start at £199 so it’s affordable too. More here.

LONDON INSURANCE WEEK – CONVENE, LONDON JULY 14-18TH 2025

The Sancroft Convene venue is superb by the way, great sound and vision product, breakout rooms, food was very nice. Just saying.

OK this one is a long event, so maybe just one or two days will suit you, with a hugely varied 100 strong Speaker list and various workshops or in-depth themed days and events within the show.

A three day pass starts at £1399 on the early bird deal. More here.

IE will add more events to this post later in the year – got a must-see conference planned? Email details to editorial@insurance-edge.net anytime.
